North Sydney Bears had their AGM last night.

Most of what was discussed re: Perth Bears has been information privy amongst certain channels for a few weeks now, it’s great to share some of it.

Firstly congratulations to former Norths player, current Bears ambassador Billy Moore for his life member honour. No one deserves it more than him.

Contrary to comments previously made the push within is to have the first 2 games in Perth. Round 1 in Optus, Round 2 in HBF. Bears are driving to have the Souths, Manly combo for those games.

WA home membership packages for the east coast Bears members could include accomodation and flights as part of the package.

The away membership packages likely to be available as all Sydney based away games, some (approx 4) Sydney based away games and 3 SE QLD based away games (dependant on the draw and how many times Bears come to SE QLD vs. Broncos, Titans and Dolphins).

Bears driving AI sports modelling and incorporation with fan experiences for members. They seemed excited about this space. From what I’ve seen it marries up in similar fashion to AI fan experiences in F1. More to come on that.

The jersey is finalised. However as mentioned a few days ago, Bears will wait until August 8th to release it publicly. It looks fantastic.

Previously stated HBF to be Bear Pit and WA RL to be Bear country - points on this as per attachments below.

Liking what I'm reading so far. Bears are heading in the right direction already. Hopefully they capture the attention of the WA market and they can get that 35k stadium.

"The Bears will play out of HBF Park, alongside Western Force and Perth Glory, which has a capacity of 35,000.
In November, the club — owned by the NRL — was revealed as the major beneficiary of a $12.9 million WACA Ground upgrade, on top of a $65 million deal signed with the league last May and a $20 million multi-sport training facility in Malaga".

I know News corp isn't known for it's accuracy - Let alone the West Australian - but this is next level poor journalism.
Maybe they know something we don’t lol, or more likey they are just morons.

Good they went for Optus as game one

If manly is hbf park then the Sydney game can be roosters at Allianz

I’d imagine that they would want to play Manly twice. The second game against them should be at Allianz

Unlikely in my view …Manly don’t seem to want to give up their home games anymore, ( and the thought of doing so to accommodate Bears fans in Sydney who loathe them may not appeal)…Im sure the Bears could play Roosters and Souths at Allianz …. Two visits there is probably enough ,,..play a game at Parramatta ( Eels or Tigers ) …maybe even Gosford..( Sharks? ) Brookvale probably sees it out year 1 for Sydney games as I’m sure they will want to get them around the country as well…

Edit - probably add Bulldogs

There is zero chance Manly will move their home game against the Bears to the SFS. It will always be at Brookvale.

South's and the Roosters will definitely host them at the SFS so that's potentially 2 huge crowds.

Didn’t that get walked back to a “home “trial game in Sydney likely NSO? They play 2 away games at Allianz … don’t really see the need for a third
All speculation, but the one thing that is certain is that NSO will still be in cricket mode during trials. Daniel Dickson did float the idea of a member's only game at NSO.

Yes… we are all speculating on the draw … they won’t announce it until November

Is NSO currently up to NRL standard …and what’s the capacity these days ?

Last NRL games were Souths home games in "04 and "05, where they drew just under 15k for the one against Manly.

More recently it's at least been up to NRLW standard for SOO where they drew 10.5k
