Yeah, probably just qualifies as click bait that one.The headline was about all that was worth reading
Is it correct that the Meninga Coach announcement, was done at a press conference in Sydney?
It's amazing that the NRL press can really focus on what is said in a lowly selling WA paper, but not have any criticism about the PERTH Bears making major annoucements from Sydney.
I mean is this a deliberate strategy to sabotage any good press?
So the people who own the Bears, the NRL, launched the team and coach at their own Head Office.Bit rich to say "Hey look, the WA press is putting shit on our game" and then turnaround and launch the new coach in Sydney, dontcha think?
Yeh, it's a bit rich to whinge about Perth press coverage and then pull that sort of obvious PR mistake. So the people who own the Bears, the NRL, launched the team and coach at their own Head Office.
Is this going to be your play-by-play method for the whole time Perth are owned by the NRL?
What if …. that deal hadn’t been signed by a dead set idiotThe ~2015 David Smith deal is one of the biggest “what ifs”. 4 games a week on 9, one of them arguably a Saturday.
Then news Ltd cracked it and here we are
All your constant negativity and pessimism around the game must be exhaustingYeh, it's a bit rich to whinge about Perth press coverage and then pull that sort of obvious PR mistake.
Wish they offered salary cap advantages to the Dragon's to get a competitive team. The nepotism bit we already have that covered.
They aren’t wrong but interesting the rlpa are the ones asking for this
No way the clubs allow this esp since Perth are owned by the nrl and it will be claimed to be nepotism
I've been pushing for the Pears inclusion for decades. All your constant negativity and pessimism around the game must be exhausting
I don't think we should go down the AFL path. Their comp is so rigged and contrived. And because their expansion teams are still basket cases despite all sorts of advantages, they have to keep the unevenness in place

4th SEQ team would be bigger than Perth from day 1, there's little doubt about that. However, happy to have the city in the NRL and happy for the BearsI've been pushing for the Pears inclusion for decades.
Unlike LU that seems to think a 4th SEQ team is a better.
Perth is the only true expansion we've made in 30 years. I fully support it. As long as it's well supported by the NRL, and calls to relocate to Sydney are quickly rebuffed they will go well.
PNG on the other hand, absolute shit idea and disaster for the game
Id be happy to see the club be allowed to pay relocation costs for first three years. Maybe $30-50k a player or something. Plus 3 places outside of the cap for any player who hasnt played SL or NRL (motivation to find some union converts).I don't think we should go down the AFL path. No, RL is an even playing field. Government taxation rates are different to salary cap advantagesId be happy to see the club be allowed to pay relocation costs for first three years. PNG are getting tax breaks so will already have a bigger cap effectively by 25-30% than all other clubs.
I can confirm. I have one of those stickers, and saw the Premier and a few people with the caps. Can't say I saw any of the paw signage anywhere, though.Photos of some of the Bears gear supposedly given away at HBF Park yesterday.
