You might get a cold from a fan...seriously?

I was joking.

I guess you must be one of these precious people with an aversion to sweat hence turns the f*cking fans on and my post put your nose out of joint a little princess?

You guessed wrong fella.

I don't even notice climatic/environmental conditions or look for comfort levels when working on my fitness, unlike yourself.

Commercial gyms by their very nature are aimed at distraction, hence why most of them have ridiculous channel v-esque music blasting out. It is a diversionary, sense-overloading tactic designed to make people feel they have used energy.

The overloading of choice also gives many gym members the sense they are getting value for money. It is why every friggin running machine has an in-built, three-level, miniature fan. But is this really necessary?

A strong mind mind can block out all this, something which you have probably yet to master. I say to you, ignore the fan and concentrate on developing mental, as well as physical strength.

I like to wait for a huge storm with plenty of wind and rain and run over the Sydney Harbour Bridge in my underpants. Using mind control I can block out the conditions and within 100 metres I feel like I am frolicking across the beach in the Maldives.

ive never asked a random person for a spot in 20 years of training.

anyone that needs a spot lifting 40 kgs bench press should just give it up

either way i go to the gym for me, not some idiot who is clearly wasting his time

some people will never get anywhere and they arent paying me to coach them.

gym time is my time, i hate randoms interferring.

train and GTFO. if you dont have an idea get a trainer. dont bother me.

Man, you are absolutely brain-dead. You're one of the androtrops who give bodybuilders a reputation for being cocky juice-heads who think they are divine. I wasn't even mentioning the fact you refused to spot him, I was talking about your geniused judgemental attitude that reflects that of other merkin juice heads who intimidate beginners away from the gym.

I don't see how you can label the asian dude as someone wasting his time while he's trying to be resourceful by at least starting off from somewhere.

We should keep this updated like the bike path thread on 4C.

09/07/14 19:20: Suburban gym Rouse Hill: Forced to use shitty leg extension weights machine in "quicky zone" thanks to some f*cking hero who wants to use decent one to do 10 sets for 30 f**king mins.

09/07/14 19:40 hours: Some chick decides to use chest press and abdominal crunch at same time by leaving her towel on seat of chest press whilst other gym members wanting to use chest press stand around in confusion.

14/07/14 18:40: 30 mins on the leg extension. Didn't quite make the record but even though they'd finished they still hung around it with their towel on the seat until some poor bastard had got the shits, came up and asked them if they'd finished using it.

Really hate those gym remixes. This morning I got to hear a techno version of smells like teen spirit that sounded like it was sung by guy Sebastian.

The music is one reason why I stopped going to the gym.

Yes, I do have an iPod, but my earphones don't stay in during cardio and they move/fall out and become an annoyance.

I've said it in the thread before but I'd rather total silence at times so I can pop my headphones out and really concentrate when I'm struggling. Considering how common personal music devices are why can't we just have silence.

I gave up on the gym about 18 months ago when our house had finished being built. Started running on the walking paths that are all over the area. Was always near home, didn't need to pack a bag or drive anywhere to work out. Just threw on my jogging gear and went for a 15-20 min run everyday. Coupled with healthy eating the weight fell off.

Resumed training tonight after extended break.

Suburban gym, Rouse Hill 17:25 hours: F*cking meathead with a beer belly has had assisted chin-up bailed up for 25 f*cking minutes doing about 10 f*cking sets and chatting to his mates for 2-3 mins in between sets! He's using 47kg for weight assist!

What a waste of f*cking time for not only him, buy other members who wish to use the bastard as well.

Been back to the gym a few weeks now. Jeez chicks don wear much in there these days. Wouldn't call it a pet hate or anything. But it's does cause me to have sore neck and distracts me from what I'm ment to be doing.
