Melbourne hit a flat patch at the back of the season like we did, but they changed their tactics in attack, refound form and are in the grand final.

Why didn't something like that happen at our club? Instead, we kept trying the same game play. I think we needed to bring someone really agressive into the forwards too.

We could have done so much better. We did well, but we could have done great this year...

EDIT: at least financially we had a good year!

What Southernsaint said. It was a very good season, no doubt

This is a bit of a media beat-up, if you ask me. The Storm were forced to make structural changes at that time due to the Greg Inglis arrest. However, imo, their most beneficial change was to their defence. Over the latter period of the season they lifted defensively (and dropped their weakest defender - Tomane) and that is what took them to the grand final

What I really want to know is how close is the footy club to actually making a profit. They pull out good statistics but the bottom line is we still lose at least $500k per year.

Contrast this with Hawthorn who last year made $4m and have 50k members for this year.
