Agree its the logical choice for the 18th team

Low risk option, multi-national corporate support, junior structures in place, 1 mil population, ready built stadium, history, immediate rivalries and brand power

No need to wait for 35 years to develop something which the Gold Coast are still struggling to do

Did some reasonable things.

Aligned touch with the nrl. The game hasn’t fully utilised that since and appears to prefer league tag which I get. But a stronger alignment with touch as he envisioned would make sense.

He also put the wheels in motion to de-power the nsw country rugby league which had to happen as they were stuck int the 70s at that time.

I think he misunderstood the relationship with 9 and fox. Probably wasn’t briefed properly.

I didn’t mind him.
