Hey Know it all .Origin and audience size is in our favour. And none of what he keeps saying explains why the tv revenue gap is going from an historical 10-15% gap to around 40% gap 2 years time.
instead of wasting time and money in Vegas we should be implementing a 20team expansion strategy covering all 5 metro areas that lands us a $600 mill deal. That’s $200mill a year more than now and puts anything usa will likely deliver in the shade.
but hey what do I know
Why throw money at Las Vegas?
It's hard to see how this could be anything less then a loss making exercise, and all the excitement about it is from journalists looking to get a free trip to Vegas.
It's not clear how having a game Stateside will suddenly generate any interest, unless we take the arrogant AFL approach and just assume that anyone who watches our game for 5 minutes will suddenly be hooked.
That depends if you believe in the value of a full 5 metro market reach.
If it shut the whinging mutt up then I’m in favour of itHey Know it all .
How do you know what goes on in ARLC HQ ?
Just because they don’t send an email immediately to you after they have a meeting doesn’t mean they are not planning/discussing strategies for more teams .
not everything g has to be made public
The salt on here for playing two nrl games a year in Vegas is hilarious
Happy Sunday!No-one has been able to identify what $200M in sunk costs is supposed to achieve in the US market.
If it's to raise the profile of the game in the US couldn't be done much more cheaply via advertisement and marketing?
All this ill defined grand plan for the US, and yet all the talk is about expansion locations within inner Brisbane suburbs, and f**k all investment in non RL states or NZ development wise.
