One wonders what kind of impact or lobbying if any the nrl/V'landys has had in the brisbane stadium situation.
Usually the media is all over anything V'landys is pushing.
Yeh agreed, they have just taken the common sense option. If they’ve done much they’ve been quiet about it, which if it’s worked fair play. Also it may just be a case of the Government not falling for the propaganda of a $3.4b 55k stadium.
Canberra and to a lesser extent Auckland and Newcastle now just need to remind V’Landys their stadiums are also technically in suburbs.
This is the one time we could have used his bravado and say any old bullshit routine. One wonders what kind of impact or lobbying if any the nrl/V'landys has had in the brisbane stadium situation.

What the nswrl and qrl acting for their own benefit ?There is nothing of substance in that article.
It is a media release from the NRL to their News Corp partners to make the NRL's forthcoming humiliating backdown from court proceedings seem like some sort of victory.
The NRL has to abandon it's attempts at vertical integration. The QRL is running a successful development program for junior and senior football players from the Tweed to PNG. It keeps the history alive but recognises the need to move into the future with confidence.
Why would they want to tamper with that, and allow selfish and incompetent NRL clubs to mess it up?
The fact that the QRL and NSWRL were on a unity ticket on this tells you everything you need to know. How often has that happened in 115 years of Rugby League history in this country?
ZzzzzzzIts not surprising, under Vlandys spending on grassroots is at an all time low in terms of % of NRL revenue.

The NRL grant is a lot higher than previous years including different amounts for different clubs( per the financial results) maybe they have to spend a certain amount on grassroots out of the grant, that would explain cowboys getting more than roosters due to geographic size of the catchment. Its not surprising, under Vlandys spending on grassroots is at an all time low in terms of % of NRL revenue.

A little misleading as well when you consider the amount by which revenue has increased, can`t be arsed looking it up, but I dare say 16 % of 2019 revenue is probably less than 11 % 0f 2023.Its not surprising, under Vlandys spending on grassroots is at an all time low in terms of % of NRL revenue.

The same Vlandys administration that has just posted a record revenue of $700m? In dollar terms, not % of revenue I'm sure it's much higher than in the past and that's all that really mattersIts not surprising, under Vlandys spending on grassroots is at an all time low in terms of % of NRL revenue.

Some people have a negative agenda against the NRL and others look for the positives. It wouldn’t surprise me if PR is paid contra by the aflInteresting to see a 10% increase in juniors across Melbourne, Cronulla, St George and 5% in Penrith this year. Despite the endless whinge from Perth the admin must be doing something right
