I hope PVL sees this shit. Time to crush these delusional f**ks.
Its an interesting experiment in if you throw enough money at something will it stick. They've got a massive war chest from next year, no doubt some of it will be used to increase the spend in NSW and Qlnd. If it makes any difference time will tell. Swans were a success for them GWS werent. Grassroots seems to have grown but no real data on by how much. Where they go from there is anyone's guess.

They’ve told outright lies about QLD so their data is hardly to be trusted.

lol .. because they haven’t been spending hundreds of millions in NSW and Qld already right ?

What more can they do ? Start paying people to watch the games on TV, because very few people in Sydney do that now

GWS has been a massive failure. Over a decade from creation, gifted a team through priority draft picks, regular top 8 finishes and a grand final appearance. What's the state of juniors in Western Sydney? Grim according to an article from only a week ago. What effect have they had on tv ratings in NSW? Zero.

Swans have been a success. But they've mostly taken rugby's fans from the eastern suburbs and north shore. Areas with more of a palette for the game. There's no more than a tiny minority interest in Western Sydney. It was a bad idea and you can throw as much money as you want at it but it won't change that it's a bad idea.

Their participation stats are lies as well. Last year when I was bored I did a check on club participation across regions of QLD. This was after Gil’s big statement that they had taken over. In SE QLD, league has multiple grades in age groups acriss regions like Brisbane and Gold Coast with literally dozens of teams in each. The floggers have a far smaller number of grades with teams coming from a much broader geographical spread to fill there comps. It was a no contest. These guys lie through their teeth and are a dangerous mix of delusion and arrogance. And they don’t like us.

Articles earlier in the year demonstrated the magnitude of their failure in Penrith. It was dire.

So, some deal has been arranged between the ALP and the RTBU.
Jo Haylen has just announced this.
Courtesy of 2GB.
Apparently, some ST's employees might be working on the new Bankstown line. The RTBU have agreed to lift SOME bans.
I truly wonder how much this has cost the govt (and ultimately, us taxpayers) due to the RTBU's demands.

It was bad enough that it has cost us taxpayers hundreds of millions of $$ converting the previously safe NIF trains, which was the previous govt's fault for allowing this to happen.

$30 million a year to prop up a fumbleball club that's not wanted and gives out 1,000's of freebies for their home games

Whats the ratio for NRL fans/players/Touch/Tag compared to AFL in the Eastern Suburbs and North Shore and why Rugby Union fans dwift to it.

Ten dollars per person to watch a game might work lol

afl reached saturation converse in Sydney and Brisbane 15 years ago

people have seen it and mostly aren’t interested

their actual fan base in nsw or qld would be lucky to be 80,000 people in each state

in a recent sports participation survey in western Sydney afl ranked last

TBH they had to try. They've tapped out the wasteland states and can't expand into any other worthwhile areas. They f**ked up with branding though. Calling themselves Parra/Blacktown/Penrith or even just Western Sydney would have helped. Taking 1/4 of their home games to Canberra was stupid as well. But it just goes back to it being a dumb idea in the first place. They knew the support wasn't there so they cast a wide net and hoped people outside of the area would make up for it.

No idea. League has decent support through Easts and Manly in those areas though.
