You are right about PNG. They are going to massively struggle. Perth is going to have a tougher time than the Dolphins and PNG is another 5 rungs below that.

What's with all the concern about PVL grandstanding though? Who cares? If PNG is anything but a steaming pile of shit in its first 5 years then that is an absolutely massive achievement. The bar is set very low here and it doesn't change because PVL is talking it up.

Can anyone remind me how the NRL in Vegas is going? Last I heard on here, it would never happen and was all pie in the sky….. by the same people who are now jumping all over PVL ‘guaranteeing’ top 8 for PNG.

It’s a throw away line, not a literal guarantee, only those with a vendetta would take such umbrage to what he’s said. He’s hardly going to say ‘yeah, it’s gonna be a nightmare getting players to come here, I mean, who the f*#k would seriously come and live in this shithole, regardless of how much cash we throw at em. Or because he's using the aggressive salesman technique ours is the better product, we are winners .The guy runs two huge businesses and thinks outside the square ,sometimes makes outlandish claims. Who gives a bee's nuts.
Maybe we should bring back the timid wimp CEOs who've been week to week looking for their pay packet ,and hoping everything will fall into place. How many of them thought of a Las Vegas type season opener ?
If being a cultist is supporting a go to person who makes the odd mistake (like every flipping human does) rather than a sit on your arse type ,then count me in bro.

You can support someone and still criticise them when they do or say something bad. The cultists are the ones defending him no matter what, or claiming he was just joking so they don't have to admit what he said was inappropriate.
