Petition to have EA Sports make a Rugby League game

ARL 96 is still the best RL game ever produced. Those nuffies that produced the latest versions of RL should just give up creating games altogether, it's not their thing obviously

Not even close, Super League Pro Rugby is the best game ever released. ARL 96 was great but still not as fun as the big heads in pro rugby.

Great game ARL '95 on Sega Mega Drive. The English teams are useless + don't colour match the teams they represent, the ARL sides include the Western Reds and South Queensland Crushers, and also list the Bulldogs and Tigers alphabetically under "S" since they all decided that being Sydney was the hot thing to do (also the Roosters, but it doesn't seem so weird any more).

lol the whole purpose of making games is to recoup money and then some they're not gonna make a game just for a small fan base.

Frankly I don't give a damn if they don't recoup the money. They'll make a better game than any of the games released recently.

I don't really care who makes the game, I just want an NRL game designed by a leading developer. If 2k are better then fine they're better.

Last Rugby game I played was 05 lol. I'm aware 08 sucked.

Why would I? I just want a Rugby League game that doesn't completely suck. I want to at least make them consider it. It's not in my job description as a consumer to consider whether a product is unmarketable for a company I want a product from.

Ok.. so you don't care if they recoup the money or not... yet you expect them to invest millions of dollars into developing a video game just to make you happy. Fair dinkum.

I also didn't realise being a consumer involves a "job description".

EA are larger and wealthier so are more likely to actually take the gamble.

Regardless of whether you think their product isn't as good as another companies, I guarantee that all of you (that are gamers anyway) would buy EA Rugby League. TT would you really not buy it?

Yes theyre larger and wealthier, which means... they dont have to bother catering to us minority sport fans.. Theyve nothing to gain, and alot to lose..

Sure I might buy it, but I guarantee you, that more will be disappointed than impressed.. No matter who makes it, cos no one loves our sport as much as we do.

I totally remember hiring that out... Im well impressed by that game, atleast the backline had some structure compared to the newer games made by Sidhe..

No ones being negative, youve come on here asking people to sign a petition, you obviously want us to do it blindly, cos your not impressed with our opinions..

If the last EA Rugby game you played was 05, your not qualified to say that EA would do a better job than any other company, Ive played all Rugby games released since 05, and they havent improved.. Madden games get released year after year with slight improvements, FIFA games get improvements, but what they have and RL game wouldnt have, is massive budgets and a large development team..

HB Studios in Canada are the ones that develop the Rugby games for EA, and Sidhe in NZ do the League games and the most recent Rugby Challenge game, theyre short term fun, but not what you would call outstanding quality..

Im all for a petition that will fall on deaf ears, I want a League game, but your hoping for miracles..

This is still the best RL game i ever played. Fatty's pop up commentary was hilarious, as was continuously bouncing the players off the goalposts :lol:.

There is a RL game releasing this year from BigAnt Studios, expect a full reveal soon. From what i've heard it is alot better than RLL.

Not sure 2K Canberra have made any sports games - their best work is Bioshock.

Interesting. Their last AFL and Rugby games weren't too bad. the Rugby one had some pretty major licencing issues though, which hasn't been a problem for RL in the past.
