Locky, honestly. Do yourself a favour, cut the cord to your internet connection, get some common sense, then come back maybe in around 10-15 years. Too much neopolitan icecream is mashing your mind. You should cut back to one scoop a day.

Congratulations - you've even out done emoticon Sullyfan and won the League Unlimited Barry Crocker Award.

What did I do wrong? That statement was correct, or was it 3-0? Either way it was a meaningless test!

Tuffnell won the last test of the 97 ashes series by himself almost
so he did do something against australia

he got a few wickets, it was one of his better efforts, but I wouldn't say he nearly won it on his own

I always wondered why the pomms persevered with him, I thnik it just showed thier lack of depth in spin bowlers

That Richard Hinds article that JJ posted hit the nail on the head.

The way that Ponting has acted afterwards has shown that he has no sense of humour at all.

Classic case of us being able to dish it out but not being able to take it.

your Mum must be so proud that you'll be leaving home in the next decade

Just because Kiwis are so good at leaving home.....

Of course the problem is that they all leave home and bloody come here!

Remember my "Ponting's a hypocrite thread"?

What a crybaby...

i didnt find it funny at all
wasnt disrespectful or any other such sh*te is being pedalled, i think our aussie captain is a little thin skinned, but personally i thought it was a poor attempt at humour, at times it was good but for the most part a bit Craig McLaughlin-esque

I think it was because he was really the only spinner
that could win england matches at all
he rarely did it
but he was competing with the likes of Shaun Udal and Robert Croft
so it was probably a lack of depth
but he could also be quite misely when he bowled well
plus he could bowl very long spells
i think its what worked in his favour

I was alsways a big fan of Tuffers, not so much as a spin bolwer, but an entertainer

he was great with the crowds and didn't mind a few words, and I wasn't surprised to hear what he said at the AB medal

its no wonder he played so many agmes if his opponents were Croft and Udal

Neither can Murali! And Ponting's is massively different becuase they shouldn't have to be sledged when they are at a presentation night! Big difference!

And a visiting cricketer needn't be no-balled by idiots (some drunk, others plain stupid and sad... or both)

The difference though, is that Tuffers' was a joke...a hit back for giving him stick over the last decade or so...

Locky, did you want all Australian losses also hidden? The Ashes totally ignored?

What happens if Australia for once, loses a series at home? Ignore it too...What happens if Australia doesn't win at all (unlikely, I know)?

Let the players and their partners get dressed up, and revisit last year's success? Or the Ashes victory 16 years ago and joke at Phil Tuffnell's absence just coz he avearaged in the high 30's with the ball in Ashes tests (still lower than Hauritz' bowling average in FC cricket)...

got to hurt...
