Mike Zimmer deserves a shot as head coach. I have always been a fan of his especially when he was a Cowboy.

Id personally perfer Fangio, but i think ab made a fair point a few days ago, if he has intentions on a HC role, he would have done it by now. Seems more of a career DC to me

I'm sort of torn atm whether I want to get in a really good offence/QB guy to help develop Foles or a defensive minded guy to man up our D. I really just want Mr Lurie to make smart decisions. And not to rush things.

Zimmer I think would make a terrific head coach, it really comes down to the owners though, cause Zimmer wants to have control over everything.

Just have a look at where the cincy defense has been rated at the end of season while he has been calling the shots, and where we were before he came in. He really knows how to get the best out of players. At cincy I hold out hope that we finally get a GM by moving Lewis into that role and Zimmer to head coach.

We'd need a NT. No doubt. Star would be our guy if there.
But one way or another we'd need a true NT.

Kick kendricks inside with Ryans in as ILB's... Cole and Graham i think would transition well as OLBs in a 3-4. But who knows.
I do know Cox and Jenkins can handle a 3-4 DE spot, we have the cap space to address some depth or start in a 3-4 DE if we move on from jenkins... NT is an issue, and the safeties is an issue regardless of scheme.

I wont be smooth sailing, it never is but we do have the players to be ok at it, with piece to build to be really stout. Nnamdi is willing to take a pay cut which solves one problem, DRC is inconsistant can at times looks like a great #2. I think both stay hoping that real coaching and S play leads to better play

the D can handle a 3-4 move... the issue is if the new coach is willing to play to our stregths and limit our weaknesses on Offense.

Other than fans wanting him his name has barely come up at all in media circles. Would be a big surprised if he left the niners.
