I didnt say i could have sone better than Dr at ground that guy is bloody amazing but while he was busy trying to save Phil 6 minutes went by....

No one had the awareness to call 000???

The DOCTOR would have decided whether the ambulance should have been called. ffs.

So 6 minutes isnt long in a life or death situation? ?

And there has been news articles on it i am sure you will post them all up here...

The news articles you mention was based on a 14 minute gap, rather than a 6 minute gap originally reported by NSW ambulance. This has since been corrected, but the articles on the news sites have been left up.

I forgot the doctor should have stopped giving Phil cpr to call for an ambulance...

So In your opinion would you think someone knocked out with a head injury needed urgent hospital care?

What about all the players at the ground motioning to call?? Call what for a taxi?? They so called self proclaimed gurus also??

Lets hope one of your family members never need an ambulance...

From the footage I've seen, looks like Warner asked the doctor whether the ambulance should be called. Doctor said yes, and then he promptly dashed off the ground. Then everyone else around started motioning for the ambulance to be called.

I hope this isnt an insensitive post, but i had a thought.

How will this affect Abbots career herein?
Will he;
a. Be mentally torn and hesitant to bounce players, adversely affecting his ability at the top level?
or
B. As a weird side effect.... will he become a feared bowler in the mould of a mitch Johnson. Will batsman see him-either consciously or subconsciously- as a bowler who nearly killed/or did kill (hope not) a top class batsman and be jumping in their crease timid to face him. A certain 'street cred', and rise up the ranks on the back of this?

I know personallyif i got into a net session with him last week i would have been smiling thinking this is an awesome opportunity. But if i was to face him today i'd be scared for my life.

In my opinion, probably not a good time nor place to talk about how batsman will perceive Abbott as a bowler in the future or what type of bowler he will turn into. Its totally speculation. The guy is going through counselling and is a wreck atm.

Haven't been able to find any latest on Phil. Hope we hear some good news later today

6 minutes is touch and go. its unprecedented so you can understand why they didn't call straight away, but the way he fell blind freddy could tell he was in trouble.

He fell the same way some boxers do when they get a delayed ko/concussion.

Medics would've seen that & figured he had concussion (while still a bad injury, not as bad as what Phil has now obviously). It would have taken them a few minutes to realise they were treating something worse than a concussion.

Its not like theres massive differences initially between a concussed athlete & someone who suffered what Hughes has.

And its not like Phil can tell them either.

I understand its an upsetting situation, but this was an accident. No one can be blame, or is to blame. Trying to find someone to blame is only natural in the circumstances, but is quite illogical in this case

Scared for your life?

With that line you are heavily insinuating that he would be interested in causing an injury like this to another batsmen.

How f**king immature, insensitive and downright blatantly f**king stupid are you.

f**k off dickhead.

Apparently Langer, Katich and some other ex-players flew over from WA overnight..

Perhaps to say goodbye, I really hope not though.

Have you considered the bloke just had an operation and is in an induced coma only yesterday? AND close friends actually need to take a flight from interstate to be with him for support?
