That would have heaped pressure on Warner in the twilight years as well.

Who knows what would have happened. Renshaw like Hughes got shuffled around a bit too much when he fell out of form. Hughes record in England isn't the best (Not many matches) but he batted at 3, 6 and opened. Too much mucking around.

I think today is 10 years the day the incident happened, I remember my mates telling me around lunch time that they were getting updates on live scores that Hughes was in a good form just passed his 50, then about half later my called me said that something serious had happened, play was abandoned. At the time we didnt know how serious it was until, they mentioned he collapsed and an ambulance was called. It wouldve been around 3pm they said all Shield games were called off.

I can't believe it was 10 years ago. Such a sad time.

I was at home following it on my laptop as my shift at the job i was at didnt start to 4pm that day.

I missed the actual ball but about 10-15 mins after i saw some social media comments about it so i crossed to fox sports news before i left to work there was this sense of shit something is really bad here the reporters at the ground were not sure either on how to report it.

What happened to this young fella on that day puts things in perspective.

Yes we're struggling on the field in Perth but at least we're around. Poor kid and his family missed out on so much of life.

Today is exactly a decade since Hughes' passing. It's feels hard to believe a decade has gone that quickly.

I remember coming back home and preparing lamb chops for dinner before turning on the tv to find out he died (a few hours earlier). Called my mum and she was very upset.

Thoughts and prayers with Hughes' family today.

As a massive cricket fan, this still hits me. Can't believe its 10 years.

I found out he passed away around 3 in the afternoon after a friend told me at work and was in complete shock and felt numb. I didnt want to work for the rest of the day.
