All the members of the England A squad would hold down places in NRL teams. Ian Sibbit is likely to be the 18th man next week and he was in the Storm 17 every week in 2002.

And then guys like Ryan Bailey and Luke Robinson who haven't made the England A squad for next week would kill it over there.

Haha great argument mate. Like saying Shane Webcke would be crap in Britain because Marc Carroll was. Have you ever seen Bailey or Robinson play?

But anyway, Webcke should stay in Australia and keep the NRL strong.

There are loads of great young players establishing themselves in the Superleague. Plenty could be able to hack it in the NRL if they continue to develop.

Rob Burrow is a freak. He's about four foot tall, quick as anything and has somehow convinced Leeds he's a halfback. His contribution seems to be to come on in the last twenty minutes when every one else is knackered and run rings round them. This he does very well but until I see him start a game, finish it and have any kind of impact at all I won't think of him as anything other than a one trick pony.

Ryan Bailey would be my pick. Tough young forward, very much in the Morley mode but better at the same age IMO. I don't think we produce much in the way of backs that would go too well in the NRL but in the forwards we can.

I'm still surprised Parra have gone for Thorman. Don't rate him myself.

Chris Thorman couldn't have been too far behind either, Jason.

His distribution, kicking and all-round tactical awareness were superb - particularly seeing as he was playing behind a losing pack - and his defence was faultless.

Most impressively, he didn't seem at all overawed by the occasion or the opposition and wasn't affraid to try things.

He could go well next season if he's looked after by the Eels.
