You can choose not to believe me, just the same as I can choose to believe or not believe the VR's decision was correct or incorrect.

yep but I haven't seen a penrith supporter start a thread about Youngquest's brilliant play either

That'd be because it wasn't.

Happy to help you comprehend, brother. ;-)

Bad call - yes. Funny - aaaabsolutely! ...FFS - Shifty even gave himself up!...And the ref STILL didn't want to know!

Not to mention the fact, as the commentators said at the time - Reni Maitua even broke early from the scrum to boot!

And being an ex-halfback himself - you'd have thought Sterlo would have brought that little nugget about halfbacks - and where they should be at a scrum up at the time, wouldn't you??

But you know what I actually think??...I think the video refs are locked up in their box eating pizza and watching porn on their monitors during games.....I firmly believe that - Because it's the ONLY excuse for some of the garbage I have seen them come back with over the past few years!

oh that was the funniest thing ever...a few mins from half time and i thought i might go to the toilet before the half time crowd does, with tigers feeding and that...as i was walking down the stairs all i see is shifty run past me and pass it to el masri, i didnt know what happened...im like "tigers had the scrum wtf?". then a tigers supporter in the toilets asked me if i wanted to swap jersey's with him

fair enough , I'll dig up this knee girl if the same play robs the bulldogs of a GF win later in the year (and I'm not saying that it cost the tigers victory on friday night) ... you'll be laughing too , won't you ?

Just shows how low the refereeing ranks have got to. When a guy in the box doesn't even know the rules then the game has big issues. The problem with it wasn't like a dodgy knock on call or a close call putting the ball over the like or even a shepard .. It was obviously wrong and all the refs should be sat down and told to read the book this week rather than prancing around like princesses working on their backwards running.

You'd be hard pressed to find a scrum where the half back doesn't retire behind the back row these days. Even the commentators said that technically it should be a penalty, but they won't award it because they'd have to penalise just about every scrum.

It's one of those rules that has gone by the way side, but is yet to be changed in the rule book

If they dont get that try its 18-0 at halftime. We scored the next two tries, and it would have been interesting at 18-12,even at 24-12 we were right back in the game.

If you're going to change that exact moment, then you have to change the rest of the match, in which case, the tigers may not have got those two tries after half time. We'll never know.

After having let that rule slide for years now, they could not have pulled it up suddenly just because it was a try scoring move. It would have opened a pandoras box. What it might do, is force the NRL to look at the rule and decide whether they want to start to enforce it, change it, or leave everything as it is. It's like the scrum feed going straight into the second row. It's something that has happened for years now. I don't know if the rule book has been updated for that yet.

Simon, the fulltime score was 47-12. What else do you need to know?

Between 2004 and 2006, the Tigers are just a speed bump... a glitch in the system if you will ;-) ...

Cheating.
FFS Hes not even close to being onside, that video ref gets the pumpkin award this week. Actually Steve Clarke can have it for not calling that one on the spot.
