I still think he should be our first choice half back.
I don`t know about that, but he certainly does have plenty of ability if he can stay injury free long enough to show it.

6. Prince
7. Reynolds

14. Marshall

I said it when I found out we had signed him and I will say it again Westie is spot on with how we should be using the halfs!

Reynolds is a bloody good halfback IMO and is an organiser Prince is a 5/8th and always has been, the reason we play him at halfback is because we havn't had anyone there to help him out

I dont agree with you westie or mighty tiger!!!!!(sorry) but you have to have Benji at 5/8 we all know he has a great step and at 5/8 it is far more useful. Reynolds i thought was pretty ordanary for us b4 he got injured but that is just my opinion :D

Prince is not a 5/8. He never has been at any other club he played for either.

Reynolds needs game time, and in PL. He was very much out of his depth this year when playing first grade, even in the trials.

He excelled at #7 this year though. I too, earlier on, wanted either a #6 - Prince and #7 - Reynolds, or replace Reynolds with Kerr, halves, but we have to keep Prince in the #7. Reynolds could be in the #14 next year.

I think Reynolds could make a great half for balmain next year but he lacks the pace to play half in first grade. Organisation skills get you nowhere when when you don't have the pace to threaten the defensive line.

You could definately argue that reynolds never got enough time to gel (and he could still prove valuable) but I really doubt he'll play much first grade next year.

what a load of rubbish.
a guess that was a stat that wasn't in big league ay. :p

everyone also forgets prince and his time at the broncos in his first year.
bennett started him at half and after 6 weeks switched him to 5/8 where he produced his best ever form just after his father had passed away.
but sadly he then suffered his first broken leg.

i am a big supporter in reynolds, but it is up to him to win his way back in the team, and prince and benji are way ahead of him at the moment.
one thing that must also be remembered about reynolds form this year was that he was behind the worst pack in the comp.

there was no boof or payten, and you all know how crap our go forward was with out both of these players.add to this, prince was not putting his body on the line as he himself admitted, and at times it looked to me that reynolds was just trying to do to much.plus we had a team that was yet to gel.
but the fact is,reynolds was not in great form and should not be given first crack at either 7or 6.
he could be a bolter for the hooker job as royce had him play a fill in dummy half role at penrith when in first grade.

he will need to be a standout performer in the trials to be in the first 17 picked.
