A choke is when you have done it before and failed, croker had one shot missed and in the end of the game the right team won after the raiders giving the tigers such great feild possesion in the first half to kill our chances of winning and then fensom our best tackling machine then campese our playmaker out it was never meant to be tonight.
for a side that most rate as down the bottom of the ladder i rate this year very highly and we are better than teh other 12 teams that are not here this week and panthers and dragons ofcourse as they cant beat us anyway in the important games thats why it took a side like the tigers who alread ybeaten us twice this year in close games to send us out

Raiders at no point even led in that game.

The only "choke" was letting the big occasion get to them in the first half. The word choke is overused here on LU. The Raiders did well to even be here. They got beat by a side that plays well against them, who finished higher on the ladder than they did and led the match from start to finish. If the Raiders were the minor premiers or had got out to a 40 nil lead at half time then perhaps that would be a choke.

The kick was to potentially send it into extra time. Saying the Raiders choked takes away the effort of the Tigers who played well.

It was good to see the game played in the ACT.

It was also good to see the young Raiders team go around.

The Raiders will be back next year as a genuine threat.

Campese went off and was a big loss. If he had stayed the result may have been different.

Similar to the previous week when Marshall went off injured.

So it's ok to use it against parra and dragons but when it happens to raiders it's not a choke . Parra lost a grandfinal from 8th position and we still copped choker comments .

How was it even the same. The Raiders never led in the match and struggle against sides with good dummy half runners and players who can change the direction of attack quickly.

Have you seen the size of the Raiders side. The Tigers have two players who exploit that very well.

No Raider supporter will be wheeping into his cornflakes. The reason people say it to Dragon and Parra supporters is because it gets an angry response. I am happy with the season the Raiders had. No regrets.

We will struggle to beat the Tigers until we can handle the way Benji changes the focus of attack. I actually laughed out loud with frustration when he put Ellis through that gap.

I think we beat the Dragons because we can get on top of them in the forwards and just roll through them. They find that very difficult to stop. We find it very difficult to stop a side like the Tigers.

Actually we find it very hard to shut down class players altogether. It is probably why the Storm beat us so often. Something to look at in the off season but if a player can go against the direction of our defence we have a hard time following that player back on the inside.

Is every loss a choke, we never even led that match. The "choke" was the inability to handle the occasion in the first half. Thats just a young side not dealing with nerves properly.

I hate playing the Tigers quite frankly.

Its a classic choke, not so much the missed kick and pass over the sideline, but the first half where they were over-awed by the occasion, and its only Round 2 of the finals.. dont get me wrong, its a young side and they did well this year, but its the very definition, they played nowhere near their ability today.

hang on there parra got there choker tag from smahsing records all over the park then to lose in the grand final where they were short favourites and dragons lost against storm and previous years they go well all season then fail in the end just like parra makes them chokers as well
parra and dragons still hold the choker tags cause they played well all season only to fail not like the raiders as we had to win so many in a row just to make the semis

The Raiders were favourites but the Tigers have a good record against them that is not based on random chance. I was fairly confident we could beat the Panthers, I was fairly sure we would lose tonight.

If missing a long attempt at penalty makes someone a choker then I would imagine every kicker ever has "choked". The reason St George (and to a lesser extent Parramatta) cop it is over decades of losing in big matches.

You idiot. That last line shows exactly why you have no idea what you are talking about. You think if Dragons win the comp this year, they will not be considered chokers anymore? People say it because they think it ruffles feathers. A team can choke one year, win the next, and choke again. Dragons choked in 2005, but hardly any other year was a choke.
