wade makes contact with bowen
piggy on the way down and there was just no way bowen could have stopped him, even if no contact
Cowboy #19 scrambles, but no chance either

piggy grounds, cowboys too late
wade on ground AWAY from bowen

Unfortunately Wade's hands under Bowen arms in picture two would be enough for a ref to rule he was being held away. Whether he would have got there or not is not really the issue. For example, if Wade had allowed himself to be pushed over backwards (without reaching out or hanging on) in the act of Bowen trying to get to Riddell, then it's likely the video ref would have allowed a try.

But as Suity said, it's over now.

yeah its on the scoreboard - but they are cool shots

telling factor - in shot one - bowen lines up to the right of wade, and between shots 1 and 2 he went to go to the right of wade then doubled back when he saw piggy go the other way, hence he contacted wade and got tangled up in his arms .... wade could have cut his arms off i guess

As Phil Gould said, The Video refs are looking for a reason to disallow a try going over the video with a microscope looking for a infringment, rather than using commonsense.
Sums it all up really

I know that according to the rules it wasn't a try, but that just means they need to amend that rule.

No player was going to prevent that try.

Unfortunately the ruling on this is the man playing the ball is not allowed to make contact with the marker. It didn't help the fact the piggy pushed wade into the defenders

The ruling is wrong as on the goal line no one can line up at marker - which was why Piggy flew off the handle. ;-)

The other side of that coin is if he was at marker he should have been penalised for not standing square. Either way its a try.....

Now how could Tyler have known when taking those shots that it would be such a contreversial try
