Well well well.
It has surprised me that nobody has started a topic on this movie yet.
Came out yesterday....surely somebody must have seen it.
Is it just me, or does nobody go to the movies anymore?
Are you people going to the movies these days?
I might add a poll on this subject just to see what's what.
Either none of you go to the movies anymore or you knew something I didn't.
Pirates 3 overall? I think it was a flop.
It's more of the same but stretched out even longer than part 2.
It didn't quite deliver.
It was flat and wasn't really necessary.
Maybe it was just me I dunno.
I sat there trying to enjoy it.....but it just didn't quite deliver.
They're flogging a dead horse.
If they make anymore well.....there'll just be no point.
I love the original......I thought part 2 was pushing it and wasn't required....then part 3 has confirmed that they're just on a winner and are going on with it with not much story line.
I actually sat in my seat in need of a compass myself as I was a little lost and couldn't make out what some of the character's were saying.
If you see this film can you tell me if you had trouble making out some of the dialogue?
I had a dickens of a time trying to understand sh*t.
And is it really necessary to run the movie sooooo long?
Does it have to go for over 2 hours and 40 minutes really?
Seriously...if they make part 4 it's only because they can.
I'm losing interest fast.
I didn't enjoy Pirates 3.
It's like part 2....I've seen it once I don't wish to see it again.
I couldn't rent Pirates 2 and watch it again. I really can't.
And when part 3 comes out on DVD I won't be bothering to see that either.
If anything I wouldn't mind seeing the original again for old times sake.
Wanna know what the problem with part 3 was? There were too many characters involved and they keep introducing more characters to the story line.
I mean.....that whole part with the voodoo woman growing into a giant was that really required? What did it mean? She grew into the 30 thousand foot giant then just jumped in the water and was never to be seen again what was up with that sh*t?
It didn't mean anything.
The Chow Yun Fat character wasn't necessary either........
And Captain Jack Sparrow died in part 2 right? Remember the giant Octopus?
Well....in part 3 they went to world's end to ressurrect him but really all they did was travel to Iceland and fell over a cascade of a river and then found him on an empty white desert island.
Was that the after life?
The way he was returned to the story line was rather disappointing.
I thought part 3 was gonna be about the struggle to bring him back from death.
When I think about it...it really wasn't Johnny Depps movie.......he goes missing at times and I think Geoffrey Rush took the lime-light more than anybody.
The best part was when Keith Richards and Jack Sparrow are talking to each other and Sparrow goes, "how's mum?" And the other guy holds up her dead decayed dried up head and says she's doing alrighty.
The end fight scenes are a bit over the top with their high-tech computer reliance.
It's far-fetched all the swinging around....and the main characters never get killed. They always manage to survive even though they're out-numbered 100-1.
Although Bloom does die.... but returns later.
The parachute flying scene was bullsh*t.
Movie's bullsh*t.
It ends at part one for me.
The Curse of the black Pearl was new and fresh but they over-done it with more sequels that weren't required.
What I mean is....part 3 could have went on for 4 or why not 5 hours?
They could have made a Home & Away series on the lives of the characters and went for hours an hours with it.
It'll probably get its own TV show one day and have second rate actors in it just like Star Gate.
And ain't it amazing that in all this fighting and ocean war there's time for love between two characters?
Typical over the top Hollywood junk.
I see The Transformers is coming too. Another smash 'em up derby, destroy more American cities, make it big, knock 'em down, hit 'em up, destroy all movies.
I'm tired of this man I really am.
Hollywood aren't satisfied unless it has to be BIG and destroyed.
Pirates 3? I dunno. 5 out of ten maybe 4.
Wanna know what I like about going to the cinema? After the movie you go into the toilet and it has that whole movie feel about it that makes it complete.
May sound strange but I find comfort in the sh*thouse of the cinema's.
It's a homely feeling.
Ohh......I almost forgot.........there's a little bit more of the movie at the end of the credits.......so stay seated when it finishes and the end credits roll as there's about one more minute of film right at the very end.
Nothing special though.
Last night a trip down memory lane saw me watching The Faculty. It's not a bad show actually. I like the cast. It's a good concept but the ending's bullsh*t.
