I'm just warning us all not to pin too much hope on this fella. I'll be very surprised if he plays at all considering the seriousness of his injury. He's lucky to be walking. How many of us would have another go at footy if we had those risks hanging over our heads.

I also heard that during his time off he's "Found the Lord", therefore he'll consider HJ a blaspheming miscreant and will refuse to play in his presence.

Like many a Penrith & Bulldogs player, PJ has become very well attached to the Hillsong religious group.

All the best to him in lifting the Eels back to where they could be...

can't this guy make a comment without being ridiculed??...I think he makes more sence than the rest of you put together.

I will say this to you "worm" I think the club would not of bothered to sign him if he was only a remote chance of not playing, I still believe the trials are crucial and I'm sure or know for a fact he will be given a decent hit out, he will probably play every trial.

Hillsong?

He was attending the same church Ali Lauitiiti was going to in Auckland, and with the Warriors players became quite a religious type.

Interesting, but saddening article from a Warriors perspective on LU just before, about how he wanted to return as a Warrior. Kind of a concern from a Parramatta perspective?

Then again its PJ Marsh, he'd succeed if he was playing for Souths. Well, maybe thats an exaggeration! I fully expect PJ to have a massive year, and am certainly hoping for that. Top, top, top bloke.

your not wrong Iafeta!!

I actually live around the corner from Hillsong church and it's actually popular amongst several NRL stars namely Jason Stevens, Dave Vaeliki, Tony Pulatua, Joe Gulavao etc!!

Well, playing prop for my team I hyperextended the ligaments in my neck, and was so close to breaking my neck and/or paralysing myself it's not funny.

That was in March.

Now, I'm 40 kg leaner, still working on fitness and have worked my arse off - despite the doctors' recommendations to the contrary - to get back into it.

Why? Because footy is just too damned good to give up.

I'm sure Peej feels the same way.

.

That article was about Thomas Leulai not PJ Marsh. I know the one your talking about...and that turned a lot of people away from wanting Leulai to come to Parra.

In a way, I think the Worm has got it right. We should not be pinning too much hope on PJ. I love this kid to death but at the end of the day he has had a very serious injury and not everyone can make a 100% recovery from it. Even when I saw him at Parklea the other week he basically has to turn his whole upper body to turn his head. I cross my fingers that he can come back and be our saviour in the #7, but if his body is not up to it, then so-be-it.

it was definetly an article about PJ, I do remember where he tested the neck out in a wrestling drill and seemed to have come up ok!!

When he left Parra I recall reading somewhere that he said he'd be back. Didn't stop him from playing well at the Warriors.

PJ is not your answer at halfback. He'll be relagated to the failed playmakers club along with Adam Dykes, John Morris, Andrew McFadden, Dennis Moran, Keith Blackett, Chris Lawler, John Simon and Stu Galbraith.
