Collins' Champions Prepare for Another Crack at the Title
31/08/04: The Fone Zone Canberra Raiders VB Premier League outfit is on track for another serious tilt at the premiership after last week's 48-6 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Hard-running forward Kris Kahler scored 3 tries in the 42-point drubbing, adding to the hat-trick he grabbed against Balmain in round 17.

The win, coupled with the Penrith St Mary's Cougars' loss to Parramatta, has seen the Raiders claim 4th position, ahead of the Eels on points differential.

A victory over Souths this weekend will secure a top 4 spot for the Raiders, who will take on either Parramatta or last year's Grand Final opponents, Penrith St Mary's, in the first round of the finals.

Drew dropped and replaced by Carney at the last minute?

Oh the indignation!

(doubt it...)

Carney would not be a risk against Souths IMO. I think he would have a field day personally, he knows how to exploit a poor defence and that is Souths strong point.
