Saw them live a few years ago when they were the support act for Silverchair. They were very, very average then. I hope for your sake they have improved, because I would rate it as the most boring live performance I've ever seen, and I like their music.

Placebo were a support act for silverchair

Never was a big fan of silverchair but have to admit they did put on a great live performance at the easter show one year.

I went on Monday up here in Brisbane (first concert ever) I thought how they played was much better than their album and much better than some of their other live performances I've seen.

From what I remember the majority of the performance was Meds and there was about 5 of their older songs. Every You Every Me, Special K, Special Needs, Twenty Years and The Bitter End.

I saw them on saturday night - worst concert ever.
They stood there and played their songs and not much else. No crowd interaction no animation no real 'performance.'
I felt really ripped off.

Well I went last night, thought it was a good concert but agree with the lack of crowd interaction Steel Dragon. On the Live in Paris DVD there is a lot of talking and mixing with the crowd.

Stefan was pretty good doing some moves with his big lanky frame and really got the crowd going during special K.

They were very tight as a band and the only missed beat I heard was when Brian announced the band and as he said 'stafan on guitar' he stuffed up and Brian pointed at him and laughed!

I was happy with the choices of songs from Meds as there are a couple of fillers I think on the album and they left them off which was good.

Would have liked to have heard This picture,Centrefolds,Protect Me From What I Want and without you im nothing but what can you do.

I would say the picks of the night were:
1 - Special K, great energy and got the crowd going....badabumbadadaadum!
2 - Every you and every me again was a fav.
3 - The Bitter end, I thought would have been my number one as I love this song however since it was the last song (before encores) they announced the band right at the end of the song where it was meant to climax (every time were intercepted....) and I really love that part of the song.
4 - Spacemonkey I thought was the best off the Meds album

The encores were a bit of a let down I thought. The first was 'running up that hill' which was good and they went back off after that only to come back on and finish with '20 years'. The problem with that was it was to low an enrgy finish - They should have finished with the bitter end or this picture or anything with more energy than 20 years as you kind of leave a bit flat as opposed to with a bang.

In conclusion I have been hanging to see this band for a while and thought they put on a good show but could have been better. I walked away happy and thought a 7/10 is in order.
