Player manager says No player would have known

All players had to do was look at who was standing next to them on the paddock..

That would have or should have been the 'WTF' moment. All those international and origin stars and they never once thought that something was amiss.

That and the fact other teams had to shed players and they didn't. Folau made it clear he was homesick and the main reason for his going to the Bronco's.

If some players didn't intentionally take part (I have my doubts) in the rort they intentionally imo turned a blind eye to what they MUST have suspected was going on.

And that makes them just as quilty imo.

Yes, I asked myself these questions too. I must admit, I was surprised when we could offer Folau more, but assumed nothing was wrong - I naturally trusted the club was doing the right thing, as I'm sure many many others did too. Many explanations were given too: according to many players, the coach, and the management, the core were accepting lesser offers in order to stay together, as they wanted to be 'team of the decade'. This, in addition to the long list of players that have left the Storm, led many, myself included, to think there wasn't anything wrong, and everything was above board - I always thought we were successful because the players made sacrifices for the team.

So in response to what you say Helen, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a "WTF" moment among many of the players (obviously more the lower-tier players), as they would have been bluffed like I, and many of the other fans were.

Snipped

I have a hard time thinking this is the case regarding the top tier players.
I think they knew something was happening under the table and ignored or were part of it.
I hope I am proven wrong.

Slater clearly suspected (& to his credit tried to do the right thing)

How can we categorically say other players also didn't suspect? Particularly the one who negotiated his own contract (*3) without a player manager?

FFS! Their job is to PLAY FOOTBALL not run the f**king club and manage each others financial affairs!!
Do you know what little Jennie in the next cubicle to you earns? Do you??
Do you discuss salary around the watercooler at "Tards Inc"?

All you people throwing stones from your pious towers wanna hope to dear Jebus in heaven that YOUR club doesn't come unstuck under the cap. We'll see how self righteous you are then.

I think some of the players knew for sure. Can't wait til they get to the bottom of all the crap at this miserable club.
