Yes he did tiburon, according to the nospam37 forum he does it because he doesn't have a manager. Hard to believe but that's what they are reporting.

Cowboys are after Berrigan as well now. That makes Cows, Broncs, Sea Eagles, Gold Coast and Sharks after him. There'll probably be more join in as well.

I do have one concern about Berrigan. How many Broncos have done really well after leaving? Not many!

Carl Webb is going OK, so is Ashley Harrison. Hodges had a good start to his career at rorters before he was injured. Tuquiri is going great guns at the Tah's.

So I wouldn't be too concerned if we did manage to get Berrigan.

what I want to know then is why players sign for wests tigers and souths. If we offer just as much money as these 2 for certain players, why do we always miss out and they get their man?

Better coaches. Better management structures. Better tradition. Premiership winning history. Better opportunites. Better selection policies.

To start with.

We could get them all but it won't get us a premiership in 2006 if Peachey isn't re-signed.

A class fullback is vital and Peachey is the best and only option if we are serious about taking a shot at the premiership next year.

We should target Berrigan, and use living in the shire as a push as well, Berrigan is Arana Hills junior nth side bris, its not in city suburban relaxed are, push the shire how not right in sydney and easy to adjust throw him $300 -$350, as Vagana is off contract end of next year, and i dont see him tsyaing on further so we can also set up Berrigans contract to pay more in year 2 & 3.

On Mason $400-$450 3 year deal, hasnt played this year will start next year virtually fresh.

We also need to make sure all flegg P/L,Ball/Matthew players that we have signaled as future firsts are resigned, we need to make sure that we aim at not just winningt he comp next year, but further down the track, so you must have the system in place now.

I noticed just tonight that Jermaine Ale in raiders outfit looks very promising winger, is one of the roosters flegg playres from last year, players like that we dont want to lose

Bailey off to Gold Coast
June 27, 2005

THE Gold Coast is expected to announce later today it has signed New South Wales Origin prop Luke Bailey.

Bailey is understood to have agreed terms to join the new NRL franchise in 2007.

Gold Coast executive director Michael Searle was in Sydney at the weekend to finalise the deal with the St George Illawarra star

Who's the next player we will miss out on?

Bailey is a solid player but he's not even slightly worth 500k. I'd throw 300k at him but that would be the absolute max.

And the Tigers have definantly signed O' Hara to a 3 year deal.

Not a bad player but geezus, 500k is just too much I feel.

Baileys not worth that much. So happy we didn't fork out that for him.

from lu:

SYDNEY Roosters halfback Brett Firman has joined North Queensland for the rest of the NRL season and the next two years in a timely boost for the Cowboys' push towards the finals.

The signing of the injury-plagued Firman gives Cowboys coach Graham Murray added depth and the option of teaming him with Queensland State of Origin star Johnathan Thurston in a potentially exciting halves combination.

Firman burst onto the scene with a sensational rookie season with St George Illawarra in 2003, before injury and the emergence of Mathew Head ruined his 2004 campaign.

He took up a three-year deal with the Roosters at the beginning of this season, but a succession of injuries and poor form have confined him to Premier League for much of the season.

Currently nursing a thumb injury, Firman is expected to make his debut for the Cowboys in three weeks time.

"I have enjoyed my time at the Roosters and thank them for assisting me with the move, but I am really looking forward to getting over my injury and getting on the field for the Cowboys," Firman said.

"This is a great opportunity for me to cement a first grade spot with a club that is moving forward and being able to play this year means hopefully I can assist this club in its finals push".

Raper has not got a clue on how to coach.

You look at Merritt and you see another Matty Bowen.

Mez will come back to bite us in 2007 when he gets the fb job at the Pirates eh Jack
