Merrin - our marquee signing but instead of playing within himself knowing he's on good coin, he's challenged himself to be better & risen post-dragons. shown real leadership & passion for the jersey & fanbase - seemed a panther all along!!

Mansour - a beast who constantly puts in - even during the Origin period he did not relent & if anything has improved since then - you notice the difference when he doesnt play!

Yeo - maybe unassuming but just our rock - amazing how he can just hold his own like a veteran forward (eg. Beau Scott) for someone so young. his attack is adding another dimension to his game - definitely excited to see him evolve - he's probably still growing too - perhaps a little menace wont go astray!?

Honourable mention: Wallace - must admit was never really a fan but he's shown a true grit & doggedness for someone who gets battered so often but always gets up & puts in the for the team. he may lack the zip & guile that would complete his amazing transformation to hooker but he more than makes up for it with his motor! he's definitely someone you want in the trenches!! i only see it now - his presence is invaluable to this team & might just be what we need to grind out a win for however many games we play this season & beyond...Was probably the last thing anyone could've envisioned when Hook was brought onboard - we might be very grateful that hatchets could be buried so quickly for a greater cause! Hat's off to both of them!

Re Rookie of the year, theres an article on NRL.com about JFH possibly getting a call up to the Kiwis squad at the end of the season so he deserves to be in the conversation as well, but I still think Taylor then that Storm winger are the front runners, id have JFH straight behind those guys though.
