Hayne just needs to rort the cap, stud a prone player in the face and then hide, punch held players and try and hit a player from behind (and miss) and simostorm will love him.

I love the way Slater passes the ball to his winger as soon as he sees a defensive line coming at him.

No i wouldnt..

You should go watch the Origin game again. And watch Slater show why he is the number 1 and hayne isnt.

I don't understand what all this Hayne jizz is about.
He had a very good 2nd half of 2009 and that's just about it. He has otherwise not done anything before that or since, that would even justify him being in the top 3 FB's in Australia.

I rate Slater, Boyd, Dugan and Coote higher than him and wouldn't be surprised if Hoffman joins that club soon...

Hoffman has impressed me somewhat. Broncs fans are right to be excited by him if he develops into a player who defends as well as he attacks!

No but see if Jarryd Hayne plays fullback, he'll make much more metres than Gidley and let much less points in.

In all seriousness though, I've also been really impressed by Hoffman, looks like a possible Rookie of the Year.

Please note I was very carefull in leaving Gidley out of the equation...

Hoffman still has a way to go, but for an inexperienced FB he has shown very good composure and positioning on the field, and in reply to ANTILag, that includes defense, where he always seems to be able to intercept the grubber kick and is generally well placed to tackle the ball carrier.
I will however wait for the dreaded "2nd year syndrom" before I catch the "Hoffman Train". ;-)
