What about Ben Ikin?
Yeah was really high quality at the Bears, went back to Brisbane did his knee and never the same again

Mat Head is a good example as well, never got going after a great debut year with the injuries he got hit with

Barry Berrigan could have been the hooker the Broncos were looking for after Priddis, but he had a string of injuries before a neck injury finished his career.

John Buttigeig, quad problem he couldn't get ontop of and retired at 26 or 27. Just cracked the qld side and was the heart of our engine room for a few seasons.

I'll mention Joey for a different reason then has already been said, i know somone will throw in a durggo comment but considering it wasn't performance enhancing (and can very well be the opposite) i'm happy for his on field efforts to still be credible. Considering just how much time he spent on the sidelines in his last few seasons with his knee, neck, broken back, jaw etc and put him on the field for even half of all those games the all-time point scoring record he set would have been at an almighty figure that may have never been ever broken.

Greg Waddell. Has played about 7 games in the last 4 years in Penrith lower grades and was meant to be the next big thing. I think was even compared to big Mal when he started.

No idea if he has given it away or if he is again on the injured list as I havent seen his name anywhere, but certainly a huge talent who has been cruely hit by injury.

I don't know if Danny Sullivan has been mentioned. He played in all the junior rep teams and was considered a future star. He played a handful of games for the Eels before getting a season ending injury and with a couple of rounds of surgery he still struggled. Went to the Warriors, and think he might have played a first grade game or two. Ended up retiring at just 22 or 23.

He was a superstar in lower grades and would have been a brilliant first grader if it wasn't for chronic injury.

Andrew Johns neck is an obvious one. Infact he played nearly his entire career with chronic groin, neck and knee injuries yet still achieved all he did.

Paul Harragons knees ended his career at the age of 30. I'd say Tallis neck injury ended his career, he came back half the player and retired just after turning 31.

Robbie Ross, Tim Brasher and Luke Phillips were three tremendous fullbacks cut down by injury.

funny how these seemed to only surface on field when his team was losing, they came rght when his team mates got them back in it though, he got all the glory if they won as well.

Broncos had a young outside back who was really good, Danny Bampton I think his name was, had to retire due to injury after playing only a handful of games. Retired at 18 or something like that.

Luke Phillips

Neck injuries forced him out just when he finally became a regular fullback
