anyone know a status report on the ps3? atm i have a ps2 but hardly ever play it. games are too expensive and i tend to waste too much money on DVDs. i do like the wider range of games on the ps2 and the whole platinum thingo. i don't like paying more than $50 for a game.

On top of all that, the Xbox comes with a DVD Player, hard drive, ethernet port, four control slots, and better hardware specs, all for the same price as PS2.

the fact that xbox came out about what 2 years later has nothing to do with that at all... kidding yourself mate.

Xbox will turn into a computer...its already got a hard drive for crying out loud. also going on your basis computers will hammer both of the systems put together, but it doesn't at all.

go back and re think this one illa.

There appears to be more games for PSII - especially kids games but I like the graphics and performance of the xbox better.

I don't have a game cube though!
Honestly they have the best ever kids games and is truly just a game station. It does exactly what it was built to do.

PS3 will also have a hard drive so there goes ur logic...

And the X box will have a bigger harddrive possible a windows OS.(that might be it's downfall :D )

which means they have evolved into a PC, which we already have.

All we need is to plug the Sony or Xbox controls into a PC and we have come the full circle.

Do they have Pacman and Frogger

Rethink what? The question is which is better, and the specs prove that Xbox is better. The Xbox is bigger and faster and has vastly better audio and visual. Couldn't be clearer or simpler. Plus, as CH has mentioned, we have Halo.
