Congrats Sam. Hopefully a long and elite career ahead. I'm nicknaming him stud because he had more partnerships than Glenn Quagmire.

Konstas isn't ready but the kid can f**ken bat...tbh if the middle order keeps failing, give him a shot and drop Front Eyed Marn

Give that Konstas bloke a crack in Adelaide. It’s not like our top order batting can get any worse

there's a lot to like about him, he picks up the short ball very early, although he doesn't middle it regularly, he's good on the drive and a very good defensive technique, head, hands, and feet all in a vertical line

it would be tempting to pick him because we certainly have some spots open, but I think he would benefit more from a season in first class cricket as I think he's got a big future

Nope we can't be burning him right now.

Give him 12 months and let him grow some consistency at FC level.

Last night India were going half paced it was a practice match,

Agreed, but I also wonder whether kids like him benefit much from the Shield in the state it's in?

If the series is gone after the Gabba I'd give him a go. It was a reasonably tough deck yesterday tbh and he made it look easy, no one here thought they'd even get on with Saturday's rain and the forecast

I would have thought shield was still ok to learn to bat since there are some decent bowlers running around still. Batting seems pretty poor

Back in my day we would have picked this lad for a tour, have him play first class games, polish our shoes, serve us beers, wash our horse blankets.

But today they don't do tours, it's all FIFO.

Theres only one more Shield game between now and February, so if we lose the next test I'd have no problem giving him a chance or at least in the squad.

Appealing for hitting the ball twice.

This rule was actually brought in back in the 1700s to stop players running into the outfield to hit the ball a second time to prevent outfielders getting whacked with the bat.

This chap obviously doesn't know the rules.
