I hope this action forces PNG to go with different colours from their national team (given the super rugby chiefs use the same colours) and obviously the logo imagery will be different.
Hobart Hurricanes could say something as wellARLC should counter them with a request for their Blues team to change their name, given NSW Blues exist, have existed for longer than their Blues have, and play a rugby code in the Australasian region.

Pretty sure Hurricanes Super Rugby club is older than the Hobart Hurricanes to be fair.Hobart Hurricanes could say something as well

Might be a bit hard to challenge it after 30 years of operation.ARLC should counter them with a request for their Blues team to change their name, given NSW Blues exist, have existed for longer than their Blues have, and play a rugby code in the Australasian region.
Hmm.. isn't that South Island Kea bid lining-up a similar green (or teal) and orange colourset?
Yeah, between the PNG club possibly wanting to use something different to the Kumuls, Kea bid wanting to use the colours of a Kea, and possible Brisbane Easts bid (with or without Ipswich), Orange or Orange & Green could be in some demand from the expansion wave after Perth.Green and Orange would also be a go to colour combination for any Ipswich-Easts joint bid from Brisbane i assume?
If the branding (colours & especially logo) are different to the Super Rugby Chiefs, I'd say the NRL & PNG Chiefs will be fine.Any update about how the NRL addressed the “polite please explain “ from NZRU about the Chiefs name ?
Hope they didn’t file it in the same place that the Perth Reds Cumins bid ended up …
I always preferred the Crocodiles name tbh
