Said no one ever. We have a free shot at a massive upside. Look for the positives. The PNG team will secure world peace, solve world hunger and turn that country into a super power.

I look for the positives and can see them.Said no one ever. We have a free shot at a massive upside. Look for the positives.
So you can see positives? And it's costing the NRL nothing to do it? Seems a pretty good idea to me.I look for the positives and can see them.
But I'm a realist and I'll be damned if I'll follow people into delusionville.
Yeah, I’d agree with all of that and even though it’s not a nice situation for the kids of PNG to be in it’s still a cold hard reality and nothing motivates people more than poverty and a chance to escape it.Someone made a point of comparing it to Brazil and the players that come from there in particularly from the poor, incredibly high crime rate ridden favelas. Great comparison.
Will they be playing in cairns by then?In 20 to 50 years png will be one of the biggest rugby league clubs in the world
Its going to take the whole game of rugby league to another level
Some people need to look past economic snobbery
Will they be playing in cairns by then?
Remember when you laughed your head off about png ever getting an nrl team and said it would never happen
Same with tax incentives and a players compound
Said Brisbane already had an nrl teamWhat did he think about the Dolphins?
Thunder Bird's Are GOlol firebirds.
They've already had Joey Grima over there working with them for a year or so on thisBring on the PNG team. There’s so much untapped raw rugby league talent there. Even if we can harness 0.0001% of the 10million known population that’s 1,000 potential players to stream into the NRL and NRLW competitions. If only 20-50 of that 1,000 potential players are talented enough to make regular first grade then that’s a win.
That pool will only increase with the right pathways, infrastructure and systems in place. Persistence is the key.
If I were the NRL I would ask and pay to have some of the best talent identifiers from club land spend a few weeks in the coming off seasons in assisting the PNG franchise work out how best to set up shop.
Says the Canberra Raiders fan....I look for the positives and can see them.

We're just f**ked in the headDelusional Loyalty...... ask any WESTs!!!!! Tigers fan
So Aussies can be loyal to their awful clubs but the good citizens of png can’t show the same loyalty for the sportDelusional Loyalty...... ask any WESTs!!!!! Tigers fan
I know your mind is preoccupied by your team's flag final but your stupidity has gone to another level today. So Aussies can be loyal to their awful clubs but the good citizens of png can’t show the same loyalty for the sport
