Do you need me to highlight the relevant bits too or can you manage it yourself
Nothing in that interview even comes close to contradicting what I've said. In fact it confirms most what I've said, and confirms a lot of my suspicions and fears for a Bears lead NRL side.
'We've got very few non-negotiables. We want our colours back, our badge, minimum 2 games at NSO, and we will fund the rest.'
'We'll go wherever the NRL wants us to to allow us to do what we want to do'
'Our colours, our badge, our history, and two games at NSO, which will be a financial bonanza for the game so we'll probably end up having more'
He's not saying that the Bears will give up their brand or agree to be a minority partner in a club, he's saying that so long as those non-negotiables, and the others he didn't mention but are out there, are met that the Bears are willing to base the team wherever the NRL likes to get back into the NRL. In other words, they'd still own and control the club, but the NRL would be free to dictate where it's based.
He didn't even mentioned or consider the possibility of partners or a merger, it was all about what 'we' (the Bears) would do.
BTW, it's at least 2 games at NSO this time, and he openly admitted that they have ambitions to play more than that at NSO in the future. Even mentioned that he'd like to play a game out of the CC in the future lol. That's a really bad mask slip from him, he must have got too caught up in the excitement of the game.
Where are these PVL 'quotes' BTW. They'll be gold if they're even half as self incriminating as that interview was lol.
