Speaking of stats, does anyone know what Benji's goal goal kicking average is this year??? It has never been great but to me it seems even worse this year????

It's very low.

Cameron Smith is not the greatest goal kicker either, and his career percentage is 72.38% for Storm.

Goes to show just how bad Benji really is.

Although Benji's % is higher than C.Smiths in 2012 so far

Benji 66.67% (12/18)
Smith 63.89% (23/36)

Madunit not sure if this is as useless as it is interesting, can u check this is correct, its from the Panthers VS Tigers preview on the NRL website
http://www.nrl.com/TelstraPremiership/MatchCentre/tabid/10999/Default.aspx#matchid=2359&tab=Preview

They have kicked to open space a total of 26 times in 2012 – a figure bettered only by Melbourne and Cronulla – for a gain of 1237 metres and rank fifth in the NRL for total metres gained with the boot. Their 14 ‘kick-backs’ (first to reach the ball from their own kick) and kick-back percentage of 26.9 is also the third best in the competition.

I may just be too critical but watching the games thus far this year i would have thought our kicking game would have been bottom 5 at best.

Don't need to be a good goal kicker when your team regularly racks up 24 points in tries alone.

One thing i noticed, was not 1 try assist from a 'halfback'

also reddy with 18 offloads, with that attacking potential no wonder kearney got rid of him

Only once did our halfback have more touches than benji & farah, Tom Humble in the win v Penrith.

But you can also see how little benji is running with the ball, how poor blair is performing, how ayshford is performing not much worse than lawrence and better than Reddy in most areas, and the workload ryan is doing from dummy half.

Then theres the epic effort of fulton, moors, woods.

Our most successful line up so far this year.

1 - Moltzen
2 - Ryan
3 - Reddy
4 - Lawrence
5 - Tuqiri
6 - Marshall
7 - Humble
8 - Woods
9 - Farah
10 - Galloway
11 - Blair
12 - Fulton
13 - Bell
14 - Murdoch-Masila
15 - Cashmere
16 - Ayshford
17 - Moors

That team has only taken the field in that order once this year, against Penrith.

The tale of Wests Tigers halfback woes since Prince left.

This is a list of genuine halfbacks who have started a game as the halfback since 2007.

Mat Head - 10 games
Jacob Miller - 2 games

Other halves
Blake Lazarus - 2 games
Robert Lui - 42 games

from 2007 to 2012 the Tigers have played 149 games
The above players have played in a combined total of 56 of those games.

If you take out Lui and Lazarus, you're left with just 12 out of 149 games.

After 9 games, here's how our forwards have been performing. This list contains only the appearances by players in the forwards (ie - Thompsons game at centre and Anasta at half are not included here)

Also worth keeping in mind, that Spence is listed with 4 games, although the game he was knocked out, he wasn't even on the field for half a minute before the injury.
