The thing that makes it most obvious that something dodgy was going on is that there was a drugs test and the club hasn’t come out and made a statement about it.

Surely if the test is negative (and presumably the club has been told of the result) then they would be on the front foot straight away to say “the test was negative” which would basically stop any further innuendo. Yet by staying silent that tells a story imo.

Pretty annoying that this has been dragged up again.

Honestly when does this get serious consideration? Finished last year with HIA and this year he's 2/2.

I think this one will see him miss the Dolphins match at least.
He's gotta be approaching Luke Keary - extended break territory. Hell, he already got the rest of the year last year to get it right.

It's a worry. I bet there are conversations happening internally, and specialists being sought.

I just said in the other thread but what's a rest now going to do that he didn't get to do the previous 6 months?

It's a huge concern. I can see him taking a month or two off here but I don't think it helps him much based on what I've seen.

Dunno to be honest. I'm not a doctor. It just doesn't look good from the old armchair at the moment.

Not trying to be pedantic here Jono, but when assessing his concussion history you can't include the whims of the independent doctor. He's had one concussion this year and that's serious enough without including something that wasn't.

I didn’t see what happened (warriors game) to be honest I just know he’s been sent for 2 HIA in 2 games. Either way I don’t see this being his last if he continues to play. There’ll need to be a tough discussion and decision to be made soon. Keary seems to have come through ok but every case really is unique here.

Apparently, even if Ponga has to sit out the whole season due to his concussions, we won't get any salary cap relief... It's not Ponga’s fault but the lad has been much more trouble than worth while he has been here.
