I feel a bit sorry for Brown considering he thought he was coming to play for AOB and with Ponga if all this comes true.

I’m sure his billions of dollars will help, but he was getting a lot from the Eels either way as well.

I’d give him an out of the contract if he wants. We’d be truely f**ked then but you don’t want a player being upset and feeling lied to for 8-10 years.
Brown won't lose sleep about the coach. Maybe Ponga, but probably not so much after this season either. Brown came for the money primarily, and as long as the cheques still clear I don't think he'll be too phased. With a 10 year contract he probably had to anticipate he'd outlive a few coaches anyway.

So there’s a very real chance that Ponga has played his last game for the club? Talk about going out with a whimper.

Mate if u don’t already know that Brown is only a pay cheque player, u are in a world of hurt soon enough, he doesn’t care if coach is sacked, he doesn’t care where u finish in the comp, as long as the cash is flowing he is happy, surely u can all see this?

He won’t be there anywhere that long in my opinion

Brown has shown he needs another star and can't do it alone. If we leave him hanging here we're basically back in the same spot with a $1.xM star who is can't do it alone.

To me, Ponga going improves our Brown signing- I can’t see how we can successfully fit Brown, Ponga and Sharpe into the 17. At least this gives us a chance of moving Sharpe back to fullback and chasing a quality halfback.

quality half backs don’t exist on the open market.

If KP walks, he’s a pretty good insurance policy.

Imagine if KP walked and we had no elite player?

I reckon Sharpe will be better than Brown in a couple of years. Saying that though I’m still happy to get Brown. He’s got a lot of untapped potential but needs a new club IMO. Nobody at the Eels has really developed since 2022.

I would love to know who this magical available 7 is.
Not Moses. Not Cleary. Not Hughes. Not Dearden. Not Walker.

honestly on current trajectory (if we let Pong walk, which I don’t think we do) the best half for us next year might be Jake Arthur, who hasn’t shown he is anything too special to date and isn’t signed yet for next year anyway.

Brown isn’t elite, only at Parramatta because we are stupid, nobody would have paid him anywhere near that money, other than these two moronic clubs, knights deserve better, bu we can’t wait to see him go, personally I think he should go now, Parra s season is done

We still need a proper hooker and game manager type halfback. One of Brown or Ponga is enough in the spine probably.
