Sometimes things are done for the betterment of all so the individual makes a sacrifice.
It’s sometimes called the healing process

Is it just me or was ponga relatively poor in the nines, a tournament that is designed to highlight players like him?

He was in HIA for the first game and, unlike every other squad, the Aus team was stacked with playmakers/ball hogs

Hard to shine in a team with the likes of Fifita, Moses and JAC. He seemed happy enough to pass the ball on most of the time- not always looking for a miracle play or to score every touch of the ball.

only watched highlights but the 9's looked half arsed. Happy he didnt get injured.

With all these rep matches its a very long footy season for a kid, interesting to see how he goes at the back end of next season

But isn't he the best thing since sliced bread?

Why didn't he sing the Anthem, has he got an issue with that as well?

We need Moses at all costs and if that means sacrificing Pearce and Ponga, so be it. He will be the next NSW 1/2.

He's far from imo.

Hopefully O'Brien can get his mind on footy next season.

When QLD won Game 1 this year and he came out with a bit of trash talk, carrying on how they 'smashed' NSW and how freakin brilliant it was.

He wasn't sited after that. I didn't expect Wally farkin Lewis performances but a lot more than he produced.

In fact, there were numerous games for Newy where he did not have a go after Origin. And no, he wasn't the only one. Most of the origin reps went missing.

How the f**k did it all go so wrong?

Ponga dogged it for the most part but I don't really care as long as that's not his attitude for the club.

To be fair Ponga is still a kid and has a lot of pressure most kids his age wouldnt handle. Yes he did go missing for a large part of the season. Lets hope his 3rd season in the top grade sees some maturity from him.

Kalyn Ponga has dominated for the Junior Kangaroos in their rampaging 62-4 win over France at WIN Stadium in Wollongong.

Playing in the relatively unfamiliar position of five-eighth, Ponga was dominant for the under 23’s side, setting up four tries in the opening 50 minutes alone.

Relaxing into the pivot role, Ponga was instrumental in setting up tries to David Fifita and Brian Kelly on the side’s way to a 42-0 half time lead."
