how did he play on friday yappy

If he went crap I'd be happy to let you have him.

He's the best player I've seen in a black and white 7 since probably JT. And he's kicking is heaps better than it was earlier in the year. Kept finding grass (and often the grass behind the FB) last night. It was a shame Beuttner took so many kicks when he was on. Some were good, but most went straight down the oppositions throat. We need him against the Jets this weekend.

Tell Tim to look to Balmain. they're leading the comp.

mate hes a class number 7 ... he knows how to get his big men moving forward ... I love his inside passes. They seem to make the forwards get an extra 4 metres per run. Its the angle he provides. The funny thing is it was Kerr that made ben jefferies leave st george ... and he made it to the club in the end anyway ... I hope he doesnt get injured because he deserves an extended stay in first grade

cheers

I think he was asking about Beuttner Waitey. Beuttner played very well, rusty as you would expect, a few loose passes hear and there but nice little chips.

Simon Fitzy isn't the worst defensive Centre, that goes to Justin Hodges.

HAHAHAH!!!!!!

I love it!!!!!!

4 hours ago everyone is like "WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!! top 4 here we come!!!"

and now there are like "Wooden spoon! Here we come!!!"

You guys are talking about a reality check for the team.....

why not a reality check for yourselves!

We lost, so what! we lost by 6 points! If you ask me thats a GOD damn lot better than 60-0 a few years ago! And to loose by 6 at the homeground of a top 4 team.....

Sure, that 40min to 70min mark was bad.....but teams dont win every day (eg: Roosters)

Agree 100%, The thing everyone needs to look at is the fact that we lost by 6 points even though we played sooooo bad...

This tem has come along way, like Cullis said a year or 2 ago that would have been a 50 point drubbing.... Don't be para fans and start whinging when we lose a game...

And again, they still came back - it was a much bigger margin at the 70 min mark. I'm not making excuses, there is room for (HUGE) improvement, but they did seem to rally and didn't get thumped. I have to admit, at half time I was doing the positive self-talk - don't turn the radio off, Suze, they'll come back. Have some faith - and they almost did ... almost ...

At least it leaves our for and defence in the + still, just

nobody is congratulating them Simon, we are looking at the facts in front of us, They played a top 4 side, at home who are very tought to beat down there...
We played shit and still only lost by 6...

What do you want to do?? Be a eel like fan and start a protest asking for the coaches head for F*cks sake, like Cullis said every team has a bad game now and then ala the Roosters.. Stop your bloody complaining and look at the positives...

Not a top effort by any stretch of the imagination, Simon, but not totally shithouse either. The score could have blown out to god knows what, but they pegged it back. I'm not happy with the loss, it was a big one to lose, and maybe it does show that the Tigers are not Top 8 material this year, but then again, THIS year wasn't in the plan anyway. I just don't see the point in saying, they suck and are going to win the spoon, cos they suck. I'm a "glass half full" kind of person, no matter what context, and therefore, I will always find a positive in every situation, even when we are beaten by 6 points by a top 4 club in the first season we've ever appeared as a threat.

Cheers :D

Firstly, lets not kid ourselves, the margin was very flattering, the game was over a long time before full time, and we scored a couple of late tries in 'garbage time' to make the scoreline respectable.

Secondly, I'm not sure that Melbourne are that great a benchmark. Top 4??Maybe, but certainly not in the same league as Penrith, Roosters and Dogs IMO.

Yes, it was good that the Tiges didn't fold... shows that we have some real heart in this team, but I think that we already knew that....

Heart can only get us so far though... we have some weaknesses, especially in the backs...

Expectations have been raised of late, and I'm disappointed when the Tiges lose....
Its better than shrugging my shoulders and going " Oh well" like I have the last 13 years...

I'm still hopeful of 8th Spot......

That was a totally crap display.....anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.Absolutely abysmal execution of tackling and ball control.

There are positives, the contnued good play of Hodgo,Boof,Moodie,BG .

But the rest were hopeless.PL stuff.

Ah crappity. I couldn't get to watch this game, as I couldn't when we played the Roosters, and it seems though these comments are pretty similar to those after the Roosters 22-0 game... But we were able to bounce back.

It is disappointing to here about the mediocre display and injuries, but we weren't in THAT great form. Last week when we were up 25-0 a top eight team would have gone on with it and made it 40-0.

Anyway, I'm very confident of a win next week.

Also, I'd like to see Kerr at #7 and Prince at #6 as our halves for the rest of the year (form pertaining).

Well said Callus. We played well below our best and still had the ticker to walk away 6 points short of what would have been an undeserved win.

Poor game overall, but I love coming in here and having a laugh when some of you people sprout sh!t like "we will not make the top 8" after one loss.

f**k me. Making the 8 did not depend on this game. It will go right down to the wire. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

Benji played poorly tonight, but it's all part of the learning experience. It really is a shame he got injured because there goes almost a year of development playing first grade football.

exactly Hybrid. How is spending half a season on the sidelines gonna aid his development. This will probably set him back close to a whole season.
