Poor display tonight

Melbourne were shithouse and still beat us. If they had Hill playing they would have easily scored 50. They spent 20 mins trying to kick a penalty goal. Dont be fooled into thinking this effort was anywhere near as bad as any of our other losses. If we had played like we did against the roosters we would have won tonight

I'm not saying the effort was as bad as the other losses.

What I am saying is, how the hell can you say that it is the worst performance by any team this season?

Been watching any Parramatta and Warriors games this year? Obviously not.

You'd think our season is over going by the general feeling in here :roll:

Gawd,just cos you critcise aspectsof our game does not mean you think the season is over.I dont think its over.If we correct a few parts of our play we can make top 8.

The kicking must be fixed up,it is awful.Orfors showed us tonight how a good half puts pressure on the opposition with a good kicking game.Hopefully Kerr will sort that out.

Secondly our backline defense at times is a joke.Last night we had Benji sliding off players and putting them into space,or Fitzy coming out of the line and putting players behind him and into space.

The forwards worked hard all day,I have no issue with them,but the kicking and our backs defense was a joke.

Oh sorry everyone,I know I am a BAD person because I make constrctive criticism of our play.Guess ill hand my badge back in on Monday.......

:? So.....comments like "we can't make the 8"after ONE loss which was by a mere 6 POINTS are justified?? Get your hand of it.......you can't win every game, look at the upsets this weekend. Just goes to show how tight this competition is. I'd much prefer to have lost to the Storm, than to the Sharks, Cowboys or Manly....Heaven forbid, you guys would of probably been calling for Sheens to be dropped then :roll:

If our performance was so 'inept'....the Storm would of put 50 on us. We're going a hellava lot better than previous years when we woulda thrown the towel in before halftime. As usual, we were our own worst enemies last night, poor options, ball control, discipline etc. Nothing that won't be OR can't be addressed!!! 8)

Thats right people convince yourselves we can make the 8 on that performance. No way in the world. That was the worst game by any team this year, bar Parramatta's performance last week. Im going to stand by what I said. The only way we can make it is either Kerr or Branighan know how to play halfback for real. I love Prince but to quote Yappy he aint a halfbacks arshehole. Some of his kicks last night were embarrassing. Keep kicking for yourself Prince dont worry about the rest of the 13 players on the team :roll: Delude yourselves and hoefully we can keep beating the Parramatta's of the world, as for the rest, not a chance

Cant argue with any of that.I spose if you play that crap and somehow manage to only lose by 6 points really is astonishing.We all know they can play MUCH better than that.

And sixth after 13 rounds..........you would take it if offered at the start for sure.

Im not gonna criticise our side on last nights display. We're gonna lose games and play like this again this season, its just the way it works. Yes, some guys had poor games but i'd be horrified if they were crucified by sheens for it.

Bring on next week i say! this weeks been pretty upsetting for us all.

for starters where did I ever say Prince was the buy of the year. I have been consistent on this from round 1, I dont think prince is a half back. I would actually say without a doubt hodgson is our buy of the year closely followed by Prince ... but Scotty has a pretty ordinary kicking game. It would be okay as a second option kicker but that is not what he is. If Kerr kicks and plays as well as he did the other week we have a very good side on our hands. Prince will relish the extra room and Kerr is no slouch at breaking the line himself.

As for my comments they were about the infatuation people on this forum have for Benji Marshall. It sickens me especially when some of the people doing it should know better. I dont mind the young kids because you expect that from them but when adults carry on and expect a 19 yr old to lift control a first grade side when he has never played a premier league game in his life ... i just dont know. I am not anti-Benji though you might not believe that, however anybody who though he could our saviour this year is an idiot. The kid has only played school boy football ... about 7 classes below first grade. There have been some great schoolboys talents over the years who looked like absolute champions, tulsen tollet, damian chapman, lee murphy ... none of who made an impact in first grade. Benji will be a good player but people have to stop thinking he is the finished product ... if you ignore the injury it was blatantly obvious that Marshall didnt have the consistency for a first grade 5/8th
