And then writing something like

But the best player in the world?

That title still belongs to one Darren Lockyer

Despite the fact that one Andrew Johns did come out on top in this minor chapter of the Lockyer vs Johns rivalry, Darren is still the better player, as he is the Australian, Queensland and Brisbane Broncos captain and at just 27 years of age, I relish to see what he has in store for the next five years.

Still The Best Player In The World:
Darren Lockyer

:lol::lol:

You forgot to add another post right after it by him offering his opinion on his own post.

Anyways, alot of QLD fans are conspicuously absent... not too bothered though, may aswell just re-read their posts from game 2.

 @ Broncodroid and Charlie Saab.

You guys will never learn. never doubt a champion. Lockyer simply isn't one......Johns is a legend in his own class.

I am fine, disappointed, but fine and NO, it is not a good day to be a Canetoad.

I am sure Saab is fine as well gregstar.....we copped it deservedly afte game 2, we will wear it again.

QLD were downright embarassing last night, end of story. Anything said by a New South Welshmen this morning is deserved and we as a Rugby League team barring Mick Crocker and Danny Nutley, deserve to be mocked, ridiculed and laughed at.

Anthony Minichello, awesome, Matt King, awesome, Andrew Johns, awesome....

Darren Lockyer, apart from the opening 40 minutes of game 1, under achieved this Orgiin series. As he said, the stage was set, he failed to deliver for QLD.

Well, back to the NRL we go were my Brisbane Broncos remain on target for a premiership win.

To the over zealous Newcastle fans, enjoy the win. They are going to be few and far between for the remainder of the season, just maybe, you will be waiting for the opening tri-series game when your Australian team is led onto the field by Darren Lockyer. Who knows...

I am truly flattered by the attention in previous posts after reading back in this thread...thanks guys. Nice to see I was missed after the win to you guys.

Where was I after the game? Making my way back from Sydney which is a 90 minute drive to the Central Coast.

What did I do when I got home? Showered, drowned my sorrows with a beer and went to bed.

Congrats to the NSW team, well played, deserved win. Thanks making an ass out of me and the opening post :)

Until next year........................

Well he said he would lift and he did, I haven't seen those heights of ineffectiveness since Kimmorley in game 1.

Winners can laugh....losers, please yourselves.:D

That's a terrific photo!

Johns was incredible, King was sensational, Kennedy was inspirational, Anasta was... keeping Barrett's spot warm.

NSW fans...

I make no appologies, you lost, you were beaten and quite simply your pushing s### uphill...read on.

We won the first game in:

1983 - we won 2-1
1984 - we won 2-1
1988 - we won 3-0
1989 - we won 3-0
1991 - we won 2-1
1994 - we lost 1-2
1995 - we won 3-0
1998 - we won 2-1
1999 - drew the series
2001 - we won 2-1

Please, replace Brett Kimmorley and bring back the underdone Andrew Johns who has struggled all year barring the NZ Warrior game where he found some long lost form....

State Of Origin 2005 winner: QUEENSLAND MAROONS

With the world's greatest player leading the team (Darren Lockyer), your series is done. Enjoy games 2 and 3.

Cheers
