Porter dies from Bathurst injuries

MARK Porter died today as a result of the injuries he sustained in a crash at Mount Panorama on Friday while preparing for the Bathurst 1000.

Porter died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney after sustaining serious head and chest injuries in a 180km/h crash with David Clark during a second-tier V8 race at the Bathurst meeting.

The Gold Coast-based New Zealander, 31, is survived by his wife, Adrienne, and one-year-old son, Flynn.

Gregg Hansford was killed in the tourers (not v8's)i think he was driving for ross palmers team at the time.
