Positive ONLY thread

Sorry guys, but I'm going take this positives only thread in a completely different direction.

Some posters often mention taking their grandsons to the games. It’s one of those things that I’d often thought would be an awesome experience for both - a real opportunity to bond. I personally have been blessed (or cursed – depending on how you look at it) by 2 daughters. But my eldest not long ago provided me a second grandson.

Now my first grandson is a stocky little fella with a bit of a mischievous nature. He’s far too young now, but I have high hopes he may end up playing league. Whether he does or not, I’m really looking forward to taking him to watch the Dragons play when he gets a bit older. Those posts by OT and others have really given me something to look forward to – irrespective of how the Dragons are performing now or what the future holds. Makes you realise that there's other joys that league can provide.
Great post T B

As you know I’ve posted on here many times about our beloved grandson who is now 21 hard to believe where that time went.

Barely a day goes by without us catching up on the phone to discuss all things Dragons and SuperCoach with a bit of F1, boxing, Swans, cricket, darts thrown in for good measure.

We have attended footy games together for just over 17 years.

in the beginning I’d pick him up and carry him in my shoulders and now he has the 1st shout and is my carer / companion to accompany me when I’m able to go the footy a few times a year.

He’s a St George boy through & through and brings nothing but joy to Mrs OT and me.

During the Mary years he was often bullied at school due to poor Dragon games but through all of that just like his pop he remained steadfast in his support for the big red v.

So it is fantastic that you have this road ahead of you and I’m positive you’ll have as great a time with your grandchildren as we do with our 1 and only

Getting our jerseys on to go the games or even just wearing them in front of the TV is still a thrill however discussing the results can be a bit gruelling lol.

Great story. I look forward to taking my grandson to the footy when he is a bit older (just 2yo). He is very small so I think he’ll be a soccer player but we will see what the future brings us.
His father is a rooster supporter but we slip Dragons stuff in where ever we can.

Thanks OT. That's the sort of future I'm envisioning for myself - whether it plays out that way, we'll just have to wait and see - hopefully I've got a fair few more years ahead of me to find out.

Things can get a bit heated in here given the way the team is performing at the moment and we all have different thoughts on how we can improve, but I think things like this put everything into perspective. It does for me at least.

My eldest is just a bit over 2 at the moment as well. His dad doesn't follow footy, but he is a redhead so I'm hoping the little fella has a bit of that firey passion about him that red haired league players seem to have. His other grandfather follows the Cowboys which isn't great, but at least it's not the Broncos.

PS. You'll have to keep steering your grandson towards the Dragons. Afterall, we can't be letting the Roosters have a grand total of 2 supporters!

I'm positive that someone has negatives and plenty of them and keeps threatening to post them unless Flanno does what he's told.

My positive is Willy Talau's progression as a coach continuing with some forwards in particular (Webster, Hutchinson) who most of us regarded as ordinary last year showing signs of going to the next level.
Very positive post and is well worth recognising.

As I said elsewhere the progression of DE, NT, JH under WT is very evident.

We need him assisting them in 1st grade as well.

What do people think of the suggestion in Phil Gould’s program about Atkinson to 7, King Gutho to 6 and Sloan to fullback? I know Sloan has his detractors but it might make us more dangerous with the ball.

Question is where does Flano put Kyle will he move him?
I think that's the hurdle to get over
