Positives for Queensland

There were plenty of positives to come out of the game for Queensland tonight. We now know:

1. Which game plan doesn't work
2. If we play dumb we'll get beaten
3. If we drop the ball, three or four times in a row, the other team gets it and eventually scores
4. We won't be over-confident next game
5. When we kick it high to Falou he will catch it (even if we only kicked it to him in the 73rd minute).
6. That the NSW coach isn't averse to using his inside information to nullify players like Smith and Slater and won't tell the NSW players to go easy on his club players
7. That Thurston needs another play-maker in the team, because without Lockyer, he wasn't half the player he was last year (know of anyone?)
8. The team has the ability to score tries from nowhere (that length of the field almost try was amazing!)
9. Hunt can tackle.
10. Nate Myles is good.
11. We can still look forward to our first win at that stadium (should be good when it happens)
12. I'm struggling now.

If they held on to the ball they would have come close to winning that game. Mistakes in our red zone killed us...Oh yeah and kick the ball to Folau's wing!

I thought it was forward, I also thought it was a pass off the ground just before that. I could be wrong though and I most probably am lol, it's what I thought at the time though. I suppose it makes up for Buderus' forward pass

the big problem i had with the ref is that he was letting both teams lie around in the ruck for way too long. i was surprised it didn't advantage QLD's storm brigade actually.. they're usually the pros at taking advantage of such things.

Yeah, i thought a lot of forward passes went uncalled. It's just hte ones leading to a try stand out the most. It's ridiculous when a forward pass is let go, and then a lineball gets called up as being forward.

Biggest positive = New South Wales played about as well as they can play, Queensland were woeful and yet the difference was only 8 points. If Queensland can simplify things down the middle then they can run New South Wales around a bit more and jumble their defence, then this world famous backline can run riot.

Wallace will surely not be better for the run and can only get worse.

I'd expect the Broncos half to be one of the least phased.

I think we can take away from that game that NSW really should have flogged us...and really,didn't.
The way we were playing and with the way they were playing...

If we get some players to pull their fingers out and prepare better next time,have players in their actual positions and ad more creativity.
We'll still get the series.

He is playing Sunday, and he won't NOT get picked, by far and away our best forward.

Admit it...if Queensland had won you'd be on here bragging about how they'd be winning a recod 4 in a row series (and yes I know that would be next year).
