I can’t wait for the GF to be over (up the Raiders) so the attention can shift from the unimportant issue of 2019 premiers to the much more pressing concerns of what’s happening at the Dragons. Wonder what if anything will be confirmed ahead of what should be an early start to the pre season. Obviously there are three things certain in life, death and McGregor.

About once the GF is over the NRL media attention will turn to the pre season and teams comings and goings, hopefully they will dig into the Dragons a bit and find out what is going on. Obviously any thread that mentions Raiders is not going to go down well with you I realise

Not sure what you are expecting to happen. There will be no news out of the Dragons. They've already said that McGregor isn't in danger of losing his job so that's all that matters. Its another year of misery. Moving assistant coaches around wont make an ounce of difference either.

I'm sure that our preso night is sometime this week. We will find out for certain who is leaving us then, both in player and other staff.
We have until Nov 1 to nominate the top 24 of the top 30 for season 2020.
Flannagan, if signed (and very close to being so I believe), cannot start until Dec 18th.
So really, besides the prezo night, thats about all we will get for the month of October. Maybe just a sprinkling of players being promoted from CC or DS.
I don't expect any major signing news at all.

Post grand final there will be a week of feel good League stories irrespective of who wins. Then the Press focus will be on Mt Panorama followed by Rugby World cup followed by the Melbourne cup followed by T-Twenty cricket. League may get in the news for the International, but will only hit the headlines if a League player behaves badly (hopefully not too badly).

There will be zippo news on the Dragons unless a player defects to rugby, becomes a jockey, has a guest spot at the cricket or (heaven forbid) has a spot of trouble with the law.
