He has composure because he only has to execute high percentage plays.
We'll play a game.

Let's assume Moses, Cherry-Evans and Cronk are all given the same 50 'high percentage' plays to execute that are identical in every way shape or form.

You have to pick the player that executes the most high percentage plays out of 50. If you lose the bet then someone will remove your left testicle.

Me first - Cronk.

The other two might look better when they execute each play but I would back Cooper to get the most out of 50. Pretty confident I'd keep my left testicle as well.

Who would you pick and why?

It’s an ageing pack, and at the moment your halves are Townsend and Moylan.

Townsend is bog average
Holmes is not a play making fullback
Segyaroo is middle of pack hooker
Moylan is unproven in halves
Gallen/Lewis are aging. They maybe ordinary next year. Happens with old guys. They can age fast.

Sharks do have a team who could win it but id be prepared to gamble and say they flop.

Moses. Cronk is no better then Maloney in attack just better defensively.
Actually Maloney is nore dangerous in attack.

Serious question though - how many of the above would Parramatta take in replacement for one of our existing players?

Maybe Feki or Holmes to replace Semi.
Maybe Fifita in replacement of Mannah, one of Lewis or Graham for depth and definitely Segyaro for our number 9 and maybe Brailey for depth in hooker.
Other than that, I don't see BA taking any of the others as being better than our current roster (the roster that ran 4th in 2017).
So other than 7 of their 17 no one .... yeah cool

I think they should be judged on their ability to create plays when they aren’t necessarily on. This to me is what separates creative playmakers like Thurston, Moses and DCE from the simple executors like Cronk and Pearce.

Are you saying you would only MAYBE take Fifita over Tim Mannah?

I actually counted 5 of their 17 because only taking one of the wingers and backrowers.
So Fifita, Segyaro, a winger and backrower with an option on Brailey.
Yeah but you still put 7 names up as options ... but ok, only 5 of which we will take

We clearly have 3 positions we could do with strengthening.

1. We lost Semi so need a new winger
2, BA is looking for at least one different style of prop than what we have now
3. Hooker is a weakness whether through injury or whatever

Finding 3 or 4 options across those 3 spots from each of Melbourne, Brisbane, Roosters, Sharks, Cowboys and possibly Penrith isn't hard. I wouldn't include Manly as that doesn't normally work well for us (Gutho aside).

With the shoe on the other foot who would Flanno take from your team?

I would say Jennings and Ma'u. That is it.

Of course Semi, but you do not have him anymore.

You can have seggy too, the young bloke Brailey is already better.

Most players cancel each other out id say. Fafita ,Graheme, Holmes are your stand outs while eels have Moses , Brown , Jennings.

Daniel Alvaro? Nathan Brown? Ken Edwards? Tepai Moeroa? Kane Evans?

I think we've got some quality there, despite how cool it is to criticise Alvaro.
