I believe we have the team to win a GF.
However, we need to start firing on the field, and I am certain its not far away.

raiders are sh*t away from home and we are just plain sh*t at the moment.

unless either side is touched by some kind of divine intervention, form suggests this should be a 2-2 draw.
Hayne field goal 5 minutes in, Campo penalty goal right after halftime, Burty for the draw with 20 to go

Parramatta should really win this game against a Canberra side, who doesn't travel well at all. Canberra's biggest problem however resides in the fact that they do not have an established dummy half, and this is where they can be exploited. Whilst Tongue is a great lock forward, he has a weak passing game and hence canberra's playmakers are forced to stand close to the ruck. This being said, if the ball gets beyond the first receiver, then Canberra have some of the best young outside backs to take advantage.

The other issue for Canberra is ball control. Errors at critical points in the game hurts them, and indeed allowed the Wests Tigers back into the game last week.

Similarly, the eels had equally disastrous hands last week against a desperate Sharks side, no better exemplified than by Timana Tahu's knock on over the line. The eels were awful in their completions and as a result their play makers failed to gain ascendancy to get a roll on.

If the eels highly rated forward pack can hold it's own against a big Canberra side in the early stages, then they should have too much class in the later stages of the game.

If I were Daniel Anderson- Put Mateo back on the bench. He's playing fairly, but he's nowhere near the devastating form that he was in towards the end of last year. Against tiring sides, Mateo is the x factor that Daniel Anderson may need. Start with Poore and Fui, with a Cayless Hindmarsh back row and Ben Smith locking the scrum.

If I were David Furner- find a dummy half and quick. I don't know if Glenn Buttriss isn't fit, but I'd be looking to get someone into there that can pass both ways, and shows some initiative out of dummy half. Also, instruct your forwards to run in pairs on the fringes with a back in support. The eels rely heavily on the great defence of Hindmarsh and a few others, to make up for the deficiencies of some who are there for their attack, and don't really defend well.

there is another young rake Travis Waddell played off the bench but is injuried now too i think. He could be a good long term option for them.

Oh yeah, that's right, what's that again?

Useless tossers. I'm angry. I'm sick of dumb lazy footballers.

We all keep hearing comments like...We're all trying, we are putting in but things just don't seem to be working for us. I don't know why, we are all so committed, but it is just not happening just now. Oh but next week, just you wait and see, we will go in hard and get things back to the way we know we can play. We are not panicking just yet, it is early days, no one wins a grand final in March or April. Blah blah blah blah...

Well I have to tell you, you are NOT putting in, you bunch of pre-maddona hopeless delusional slug fu*ks. How the hell can you look yourselves, your coach and your supporters in the eye and twaddle that crap out with a straight face?

I mean if you were giving it your all for starters your intensity would be 200% greater. Your speed of line would be at least twice as fast. Your support of your team mates in attack would be there and unquestioned due to the endless tries and breaks that this team is capable of. As for defense, you would be dominating and slowing down the opposition from regularly getting a roll on against us, Just to mention a few glaring and extremely obvious observations as to why you guys are just kidding yourselves and stringing us along for this joyless and pathetic ride as well.

I for one am not buying into your phony excuses anymore. Your efforts this year have been pitiful and embarrassing. You guys mustn't have any real respect or pride for yourselves or that great jumper that you wear on game day. Sure you yell and scream that you do when someone challenges you on it, but your soft co*k performances show us the truth no matter what excuses or dribble you guys try to defend yourselves with.

So pleeeese don't bullsh*t us and yourselves any longer. Put up or shut up and step aside please!!

Are the players reading these posts Ram??? or it just fodder for Josh Massoud and co from the Telercrap????

DA, is a very clever coach and the first 4 rounds reminds me of round 26 against the Dragqueens from last year. Roper Doper anyone???? OK Ali, its time for 22 knockout rounds. Eels to win 40+. The nucleus of this Eels squad just can't completely lose the passion and spirit of the late 2009 roll on effect Sterlo was on about. Awake you sleepy giant.

Angry Eel,

shed some more light on the parra problems for us all, you seem to know stuff.

Read Wayne Bennett's book about individual and team effort. Im sorry to disappoint you but I don't have any news about internal ramblings of the club. However, I don't need to have any. You can see it on the field.

Having said that, alot of players were putting in the effort this week. If we keep going this way we should beat the Cowboys and match the Dogs.
