I'd have thought he'd have been stood down (with pay) until his case is resolved. But no word on that yet. Has an upcoming court date in February so may see more action following that.

I think the problem is that you have to nominate the side that will finish ahead of them. I don't think they will go back to back either but I've got them finishing first because I don't know who else will manage it.

And some people think it looks silly to nominate the side they follow to win the comp every year.

I just don't like backing us to win the comp (even if we look like clear favourites).

I quite enjoyed flying under the radar last year. We were written off most of the year and even in the finals most experts backed against us every week!

So I'd love for something similar to happen this year. It won't, obviously. And what I say on LU doesn't matter, but maybe I'm just overly superstitious.

That being said, even if we are favourites you'd still take the field any day. We must be 4/1, which is short, but it still means there's a 3 in 4 chance we won't win the comp. No one has gone b2b in 27 years so it's damn hard. One or two ill timed injuries or a slight drop in desire and we're in trouble.

So yeah, we're no hope of going b2b. How about them Broncos & Panthers?! Awesome young teams who will be hungry and hard to stop. They can gladly have all the hype.
