Not a bad looking side, we actually should win this game, because Wests are one of very few sides who find themselves below us on the table. Good to see that Bradley's injury isn't anything too bad, as he was helped off the ground last week and didn't come back.

He goes fairly solid from what ive seen..

Won country player of the year last year I beleive.. And isnt too far behind his brother if not better in the skill level.

Id probably rather him in our top 17 over Lowrie, Tanner and Brown tbh.

And I think he's still young so got some improvement left in him.. Definitely good for depth atleast and should be fairly cheap.

he's seems capable enough to play several positions, what's his best position in your opinion.

He is a backrower. And his defence is probable his greatest attribute. Isn't scared to mix it with the bigger boys since he is quite a small guy. He can put on some big hits and really races off the line. Good benchie to have on any team because you know he will put in 100% effort every time.

I can't make it to the game this week as I live in Sydney and work Sunday.

If anyone is going to watch the premier league match perhaps they could keep an eye on the performances of Abes, Cooper, Bailey, Royal and White.

I think that if one or two of that group have really good games then they should be promoted next weekend if first grade lose to the Storm.

I'd be interested to hear which of the five stand out the most this weekend.

K-Man, you're dreaming if you think any of those five will get into the side next weekend. No matter what happens, unless one of the 17 named suffer a serious injury, then non of the five you mentioned will crack into first grade this year at least. The only change from the side to play on Sunday to the one which hopefully runs out in week one of the finals will be Kidley to five-eight, Mullen to the bench or out of the 17 ........... ](*,)

You are 100% right. It just won't happen.

But, as I have been so strongly advocating changes in the forwards/bench, I'd like to know who is knocking on the door the loudest at the moment (even though we know they will not enter Hagan's castle, and even though I know this will only add to my frustration lol).

If, for example, Abraham or Cooper had an absolute blinder and looked fit and strong, I would feel more justified in calling for changes.

I have seen enough of all these guys to know my opinion of their abilities, but haven't seen premier league for about a month so I'm not sure about current form.

I am of the opinion that Abraham MUST be in the 17 somewhere. He has played around 12 games in PL, and seems to be plateauing in my opinion. I think this has to do with the fact he knows that no matter how well he plays in PL, he just wont get his spot back from Tanner. Also IMO, Abes's best 30 minutes of footy this year, just happened to be when he came off the bench against the Dragons. As I said, he's played about 12 PL games this year, so if his match fitness isn't up to scratch now, it never will.

Fair point Jobdog.

I would love to see Abes fit and firing in the top 17. I thought after that solid effort off the bench in first grade that he was being eased back in, but he just got shunted straight back to premier league.

If Tanner is a better lock forward than Abraham, than I'm a dutch astronaut. At least Abraham doesn't get hammered every time he touches the ball, offers that little bit extra out on the fringes and can pop a good ball when need be. Tanner offers absolutely NONE of these assets.

I've watched Abes in a few of his Premier League games, and his class stands out, even when he isn't match fit. When he came off the bench in the Dragons game you could see the same thing. I have the feeling they aren't picking him, to keep his value down next year.(when he signed last year it was for a lot less than a fully fit Abraham could comand, and rightly so given his injury record. But his second year payments (next season) depended on his performance this year.) So given his lack of game time, it seems logical that the club will pay him a pitance next year. I seriously think Abes will be lost to the club after next season, in fact if I were him I'd be asking for a release, and believe me he is a player who'd come back and bite us. It could be that Abes isn't fit, and if that's the case then so be it, but like JB I find it hard to believe, he's been one of the best on field in premmy for the last couple of games, even though that side is struggling.
Then again, I am biased when it comes to Daniel Son.

Yes, yes you are Tone but in this instance I am a 100% with you especially considering the lack of players we have who do have genuiene class on the paddock.

Basically same as his brother id say..

Backrow
Lock and then
Centre

He actually played a tiny bit of centre for us against the Raiders and done well, set up a try for Tighe I beleive (in first grade)
