Chris Thorman was a class above everyone else today and at times he was toying with the opposition.

Smith went ok but I've seen him do better, One thing is for sure he is not a halfback. U could see that he and thormann were getting in each others way in the backline. Smith is a natural 1st reciever, I dont understand why they would put him in at 5/8. He will be a half back in the Nrl so why is the coaching staff not playing him at halfback, Thormann will be back to england because he is not NRL standard at the end of the year so u might as well put Tim at half.

it seems as though im the only one who thinks thormans defence is pretty good. i couldnt really fault the few FG games hes had.

but that aside, there are better options that him, so if hes going to cost us an arm and a leg then he can jump back on the plane.

I think Thorman can tackle ok - he is enthusiastic.....i think he sometimes gets a little over-excited tho and leaves holes in the line or goes after a player he shouldn't.......i guess you could say his "team defence" is a bit suspect.

That was the best game i have seen Thorman play for us. Maybe he is actually settling in, i guess we will have to wait and see if he can consistently do it in P/L now before we move him back to firsts.

IMO Tim Smith should be the person we are prepping, yesterday he just played to supporting role, he was quiet but to me it seemed like he was directed to do that because when he got involved he was classy as always.

They always say that the classy players make everything look easy, well i'll tell you Tim makes everything look easy. I can't wait until BS thinks he is good enough to play first grade.

Does anyone know how old Tim Smith is??????? He looks very young......

He probably played his best game for the club yesterday, ran the ball well and fead his outside men with some neat ball.

Tim Smith will get his shot next year, he's still far too young and doesn't need the added pressure of first grade yet. Let him dominate Premier Legue for a year and then give him a taste towards the end of the season and bring him into the first grade squad next year.

I think Thorman may get another opportunity to prove himself if he can consistently perform well in Premier League. He wasn't really playing consistently well in reserves when he got rushed into first grade before and I think that was part of the reason he struggled. He's had a taste of it now and he knows what he's got to improve on so I wouldn't be writing the little pommy off just yet. I think everyone is forgetting what a massively brave decision he made to come over here and test himself despite very big offers from the UK. He seems like a very determined guy so I'm still confident he'll come good.
