Premature, but only because no other team has really put their opposition away as convincingly as the Knights in the first two rounds. Last week was a combination of strong defence and a handful of tries. This week saw a ridiculous amount of tries, and too many tries against.

I'm not sure how that adds up to favourtism -- I'm still not convinced we have overcome our injury woes. We're only one game away from losing a number of key players (particularly Johns) -- until then we're probably right up there.

we are still a week by week proposition to be honest. we look much better across the field and we probably would have won today without Johns - thats more than could be said at all last year.

but to win the premiership without him - hard to say yes to that...

No way we should be favorites. Canberra we're terrible today, and we still let them score 32 points. If we convincingly beat the Dogs friday, then we'll start talking about favoritism.

Yeah to me Johns hasnt been that great in the past 2 games so far... he is happy to let the guys try their hand and play football.... Johns and Buderus will be better for the match play and you would expect them 2 hit their straps pretty soon... They will need to be great Friday Night...

Can't wait for the Dogs match. We will be favourites if we can put them to the sword. Also, can anyone confirm that the Dogs game will be our first Friday Night game in two years?

We last played a friday night game in our 24-22 loss to the dragons in Round 24 on August 20th 2004. The infamous game were Clint Newton was sent off for his elbow to Ashton Sims and the ladies saw Danny Buderus shirt torn form his body, what a game he had that night.

Not quite two years. ;-)

A bit early to be considered premiership favourites just yet. Let's face it, while I'm as happy as anyone about our start to the year, we have beaten a good team that played terribly (Parra) and a plain awful team (canberra).

Next Friday will answer a lot of questions in my mind.

Canberra we're terrible today, and we still let them score 32 points.

Technically though Parra weren't too bad and we let them score 6. The Knights were wearing a different hat yesterday than when they played the Eels, the most important thing is how they play consistently and yesterday doesn't really mean a great deal for mine.

If we can get through half the season in good form, and get through the perhaps inevitable slump every team has without suffering too greatly long term, then I'll be thinking we'll be a good showing in the finals. But offering the odds at this stage of the seasons is really nothing more than amusement value.

I,D like to see channel nein keep us off the big screen of a Friday night, from memory our record is not that good.

For some reason we seem to play brilliantly the week prior to the Nein Friday night televised game and when we come up for all to see, we seem to play abysmally...........Hope for once tho that we show any knockers that we can be genuine premiership contenders

Premiership favourites? Give me strength.

You let in 32 points against a team that is best described as the Who's Who of Who? with a braindead nuffie pretender as coach, and you're one Andrew Johns injury away from another wooden spoon.

You know what they say about only having the chance to make one first impression?

You just made it - and you're an idiot. Don't bother fighting it. You could write a mind-boggling post of such intellectual depth that it puzzles geniuses, and you'll still be an idiot in my eyes.

You, my dim-witted friend, are just one night of heavy drinking away from becoming a vegetable. Those last two brain cells must be terrified.
